sway0060:  I have become a little bit interested in F1 too!  I think it was a combination of my husband’s enthusiasm for it and him telling me all about it + seeing the movie Rush right before visiting the Ferrari Museum in Italy that did it for me.  I really grew an appreciation and respect for it.  We definitely plan to go to one of the races in the next few years, it is hard to choose which one though!

It’s so funny, after seeing Chris Hemsworth as James Hunt in Rush I thought I kinda had the hots for him.  But later I realized it’s actually James Hunt that I have the hots for πŸ™‚

He got me into watching gory shows like Dexter, The Walking Dead, etc.  His family carries on a tradition since the 70’s to make wine from scratch annually so I guess he got me into that…  It’s quite the process, the pressing, extracting, adding sugar, testing specific gravity, racking, filtering, bottling and logging every single detail.  We’re being groomed to take over in the near future so I better take an interest!  They’ve already pointed out the perfect spot in our basement.. lol

I got him into snowboarding, xc biking and trying new restaurants.  I love exploring new places and eating all sorts of ethnic cuisine.  Like any man, he loves eating…

Fiance got me into birdwatching! He puts out bird seed in his backyard and keeps binoculars by the back window so he can look at birds who come to feed + birding books so he can look up any birds he doesn’t recognize. Now, everytime I’m by the back window, I like to look out at the birds, especially the mated cardinal pair that hangs out back there. And I’ve got him into walking / hiking! So we combine the two and look at birds while we hike

Football! GO LIONS!!! I absolutely love it now…I even watch the NFL network when I’m at my sister’s! This past season was so much fun. The way i follow went to a new level…like I learned about all of the quarterbacks (mostly because I can’t stand Matthew Stafford) and I learned about a lot of the running backs. It’s just different than just simply watching the games. We even got 2nd row tickets in the end zone this past season. It was surreal. I also dabbled a little into college football but only starting at the Rose Bowl games…throughout the championship. My husband bleeds crimson & grey Ohio state buckeyes so it was fun to follow them at the end. I am a Michigan fan above all college teams, I just wanted to make that clear here haha…but I became a fan of Ohio state through their last 2 games. I thought it was such a neat story, coming in seated 4th & winning it all…with their 3rd string quarterback. It was a fun season for me.

My husband & my whole family are all trying to get me into golf, but I’m just not interested. I was always an extreme athlete so another sport should interest me, but I don’t like it.

Darling Husband is a NY Giants fan. I can’t get into pro-football but as far as college goes, my heart will forever bleed Garnet and Black (SC Gamecocks).

Peanut-Sue:  Yeah! Go Lions!

He has gotten me into the great outdoors. I used to hunt and go for walks through the woods with my dad all the time and kind of fell out of it as I got older. He has a super sweet Bronco for two tracking and a quad. Now all the kids have quads, I have my own truck for two tracking, and we just love romping through the woods, deer hunting, etc. The morels are going to pop up soon too so it will be time to go find some of them. He has always fished, but usually the small inland lakes. I taught him how to get out and enjoy the big lake and find that salmon. My grandpa always had a slip and I learned a lot about fishing through him. I would like to thing I “refined” my fiance just a little bit. His idea of a great restaurant out is the all you can eat China buffet. I taught him how to dress up and enjoy a glass of wine with a server who actually brings food to you.

He got me into golf. Never thought I’d see the day! It’s not really a sport/hobby but I turned my Fiance into a cat person. He adores our 2 cats πŸ˜‰

I’ve tried getting into a lot of stuff my fiancé is in but some things I just will never be into. I did give them a try though. He’s a kung fu instructor and I was a student at his studio for a while but that didn’t stick too long. He taught me a lot about Star Wars lore and i think the movies are okay but still not my thing – even If Disney bought it.

I do like that we go camping and hiking together – something that I would rarely ever do. I also am more aware of fitness and healthy eating noe than before we were together.

  • Wedding: July 2015 - City Hall!

we both love football separately. so now it’s great together.

i will go fishing now, and know a ton about fishing poles\reels\bait whatever. cars…he’s super into cars, building and racing (street or track only) and now i’ve become very into it. video games…he loves video games, and instead of it letting it take up time we couldn’t spend together i learned how to play with him! it’s not my favorite, but i’m okay to do anything that gets us to spend more time together.

He introduced me to salmon fishing and I introduced him to motorcycles.
