I have more cooking repertoire since meeting Darling Husband. Though I’m stil not that interested, I know more about guns and beer now than I did before Darling Husband was in my life.

Not really. I mean we hike now but that’s kind of it. Everything else we do, it’s because we already had it in common. Only things I’ll never get into are his guns and knives (though I work in a Swiss Army Store lol)

Biggest difference being that I actually try and study for tests now. I’m a horrible procrastinator. Like right now I should be working on my final text review due in like 2 1/2 weeks :p

sway0060:  He got me into billiards. That was one of the first things we did when we started dating and I had never played pool before. Haha, I got totally hooked and now I’ve been playing for almost 7 years and I’m good ;). Other than that he’s gotten me into astronomy and topology and delta blues, also patsy cline. I also appreciate movies a lot more now because of him.

I got him into reading science fiction and now he reads more of it than I do! I also got him a lot more interested in food. He was a sandwich for every meal kind of guy when we met and my years of cooking for him have definitely made him more discerning and “into” food. I also introduced him to jazz, researching, early retirement, and philosophy.

Golf. I took a golfing class during college but got discouraged, because I wasn’t any good at it, so I  didn’t bother trying again. SO took me out to the driving range and complimented my form, saying I was better than all his female relatives and that his brothers and father were going to be jealous, because I was interested in going golfing with him, which none of their wives are interested in doing. I won’t be good to start, but he makes me excited to learn more.

I got him into interior decorating (sorta)… mostly by having him come with me to homegoods one time. Now he is excited to go because the first time we went he saw “the throne”. It was just an oversized wing back chair but he sat in it and got very excited, saying he felt like a king. I handed him a curtain rod to be used as a scepter and he acknowledged me as a benevolent queen, before declaring he would destroy our enemies. I crack up just thinking about it and now every other weekend he asks if we can go back and look for the throne (we haven’t seen it since).

Fiance is big into video games. I took up WOW and Hearthstone because of him. occasionally I’ll play other games with him, but those are the two I took up on my own.

None.  He loves basketball & football, but I just can’t get into either.

He did pick up my interest in German Shepherds.  He’s always been a dog lover, but he is really into the breed now.  I’m into a dog sport & he’s getting into that now.

Hmm Fiance loves Michael Jackson music since forever and I never really listened to it until I went out with him but after almost 9 yrs together I basically know all of MJ’s songs… Fiance is also an avid dragonboater and convinced me to try when we started dating, I loved it so much I also became a competitive paddler. Finally, Fiance and I already shared a love for jazz music and he could swing dance so he taught me how to dance. I’m very grateful he shared his passions with me!

Playing xbox/ps4 games. I was never even slightly interested in playing games but he loves them, But now i find almost relaxing and a great way to blow off some steam after  tough day. Plus its something inexpensive we can do as a couple

sway0060:  Long-distance hiking/backpacking and computer games! These are both activities that I was never really into before (I still hate bugs and I never played video games growing up), and now they’re some of our best bonding activities. I seriously cannot imagine my life without the hiking, and we have SO MUCH fun with our own private LAN parties.

I’m now a sci-fi/fantasy fan because of my fiance! Especially Lord of the Rings. I was always kind of interested in sci-fi/fantasy, but thought it was a little strainge. I never DREAMED that I’d become a fan of LotR! But one day, he convinced me to watch the movies and I absolutely loved them… I’ve also taken up yoga because I want to be healthier and more active like he is!

sway0060:  No way.. Of course! My husband loves F1 too.. His dream of all dreams is to win the lottery and follow the entire circuit. I’m warming up to it, its kind of exciting.

We also like to wake up early and watch Champions League, especially Chelsea. I make a big breakfast and we have some drinks, I used to hate waking up but now I’m the one up with breakfast going and shaking my husband to get out of bed.

He’s been jacked on scuba diving for awhile now and I’ve been terrified but, we tried it on our honeymoon and are both hooked. We’re doing our PADI cert right now and he’s going to teach me how to golf this summer. Golf and my patience have never jived but, he thinks it will be cute to go together and I can’t complain about the outfits!
