sway0060:  This exact thing happened to me. My SO loves Formula 1 and I got sucked in. I actually find it really interesting. We both have teams online to bet on who will win. I like learning about the cars and the drivers. Every race weekend, we get coffee and breakfast and watch. It’s so fun! Then randomly the other day he says, “I like that you like formula 1, it’s so cute.” haha. I think it would be awesome to see a race live!

Following a trend…racing! My fiance loves all kinds of car racing…but especially Nascar. We’ve been to about 10 races and watch them every Sunday we can. I even watch without him. And we do fantasy Nascar too. Recently, he’s been watching more F1/IndyCar too. He follows it pretty well, even if he doesn’t watch every race. Everyone I tell is shocked!

wine tasting! really enjoy exploring with him too.  ANd slowing down a bit in life in general. I’m a GO GO GO type, always doing something.  We balance eachother.

He doesn’t have any hobby other than techy stuff, which I’ll never wrap my head around, but I’ve picked up redditing and sleeping in from him lol. He’s always willing to accompany me with my endless number of hobbies, so I’m still happy 🙂

Fishing!  Never fished before in my life until he bought me a nice fishing pole for my birthday last year and now I love it!

Yes F1!!!! He explained all the technical intricacies to me and now we both set alarms and wake up together to watch the races (even on work nights). We’ve been twice to the Melbourne race, twice to the KL race and this year we hope to make it to the Brazil leg! It’s exhilarating to be there and smell the high octane fuel 🙂

I got him into travelling, SCUBA diving and trying to learn Spanish – which we are currntly both doing now while backpacking the next 8 months in South America.

He convinced me to join his social indoor football team and I loved it until I broke my foot.

I got him into DIY projects around the house for furniture etc. And he got me interested in the stock exchange and listening to podcasts (especially Stuff you should know).

We have adopted most of each other’s hobbies as or own now, except I still can’t get him to enjoy classical ballet or Reddit.. Any tips ladies?
