  1. Invite more guests, including my French friends, and pay for their flights.
  2. Hire a photographer and videographer.
  3. Pay for our families’ hotel rooms.
  4. Go on honeymoon.
  5. Pay for my dad’s suit and our mums’ outfits.

  1. Have the wedding on Western Coast of France in a medieval castle
  2. Fly (and accommodate) all the special people in my life to France
  3. I would get a custom dress from a French boutique
  4. Have a wedding planner do all the arrangements

@discodance:  I hired one. My wedding ceremony cost just over $2k and the planner handled everything. What was your budget? lol obviously the flights and hotel stuff would be another story.

1) Pay for the rest of my fiance’s family to fly out from Australia.

2) Put my future mother- and sister-in-law in a hotel for the three weeks they are here instead of having them stay with us.

3) Have more flowers

4) Stop hyperventilating over the cost of things

That said — I really am happy with everything, and I honestly wouldn’t spend much more on the actual wedding itself. I’ve hit my limit! 😉

@strawbs:  I’m not engaged yet (have to graduate from college first), so we don’t have anything set in stone, but it looks like we’d like to be at 10k or under.  How much was your wedding planner?  Where was your wedding?  I’m very curious now!  How much did you work together?  Please share!

1. Permanent honeymoon.

Otherwise, I’m satisfied with out low budget and enjoy making things/inherited a practicality about money that makes me shy away from large expenses.

Or maybe I’d use it as an excuse to buy 50 shoes. 🙂

Not sure if I’d want to spend too much on the actual wedding day even with unlimited funds… but with more $$, I would:

Pay for all the tickets for my mom, stepdad, sisters, brothers and nephews (those are the people I want to come the most).

Pay for the bridal party attire

More food options

Unlimited OPEN bar!

If I had an extra $5000-$6000 to spend, I could have had my dream venue with all the trimmings so it wouldn’t take much for me to get everything that I want.
