I realized several months before my wedding that flowers were an area where a lot of money is spent but you have nothing after the event. I decided to research flower preservation. I decided to have my bouquet, Dh boutinniere and our invitation preserved in a shadow box. If having your flowers preserved there is some planning required. I just got mine back and it is beautiful

That is really Beautiful! What a great display!
We used silk flowers, so my bouquet is the centerpiece of our dining room table. If we ever get a fireplace, or re-do our bedroom, I will probably move it.

That’s really pretty! The color still look so vibrant and they still look fresh! How much did it cost to have that done?
… I accidentally left my bouquet at the venue propping a door open when we were moving all our stuff out. OOPs….

Great idea! I used fake flowers, but I plan to do a shadow box also. I just have to remember where I put it first 🙂

I have my bouquet from my Vegas wedding in a small wooden box, it was basically a nosegay.

I love this! I think I’ve got 2-3 of these on my Pinterest wedding board. It’s nice to see it in real life. So beautiful. Did you do it yourself or have it professionally done?

So based on my understanding of the process is they deep freeze the flowers to remove all the moisture. While the flowers are not quite their original color, they are much better than dried. Other places use silica for drying and some people even diy using silica. Can take as much as 6 weeks for drying process.
Getting flowers preserved cost a couple hundred bucks, but to have them forever I decided it was worth it.

Some types of flowers work better than others for preserving…they were happy with what I had as they all preserve well…
