@MamaHusky3:I think it’s a good idea to give her the option to go and if she doesn’t want to to do something with you! I have 2 MOHs (my sisters) and one of them is Out of Town. After I asked her to be my Maid/Matron of Honor she asked me which things I wanted her at FOR SURE so that she can plan for them. I told her the wedding, rehearsal dinner and shower. She probably won’t be coming for my bachelorette. I’ll be sending her pictures and things to keep her involved that way.

Hmm tough one. I would just throw out a bunch of ideas, and make it clear that the girls can attend for the whole day or part of that day..whatever they are comfortable with. I was in the bridal party for my friends, and her Maid/Matron of Honor was also a mommy of 2. We knew she wasn’t much of a bar person and couldnt stay out all night with us, so we planned an activity during the afternoon and lunch at a nice local place. The Maid/Matron of Honor left after that while we went to bars at night. I know the bride was happy that the Maid/Matron of Honor was atleast able to make it to part of the festivities.
