No offense but just because he spoke about that during sleep does not mean that’s what he’s getting.

See if he hints around any other ways.

I think your gift will be great!

I think he’ll love your gift because it’s thoughtful.

@Mrs Hedgehog: from someone who owns a rifle (a measely .22) and who has a Fiance who knows his guns and has one, as well as a step-son (well, he will be after my Fiance and I are married) who knows guns and has one and is planning on getting another… not to mention a brother who hunts and has a large selection of guns….

DO NOT get him a gun, unless you know EXACTLY which one he wants.  There’s a certain “feel” to them that is unique to that person.  (confusing, I know, but ask him about it…)  If you want to go that route, a gift certificate or card w/ cash or gift visa card would be best.  That way, he can get the gun HE wants and feels best in his hands.

I do NOT think your gift is going to pale in comparison.  but I don’t know your Fiance or how he would feel/what he would think.  I can only tell you what I know as someone who owns a gun and is around A LOT of guys who own guns. 🙂

So, with the Cancun vacation we took 3 months ago, the money going out for the wedding in 3+ months, and the holidays right after that, Fiance and I decided we werent going to exchange gifts. And we are totally OK with that..afterall, we feel that spending the money in the first place and having a beautiful wedding for our families and friends is, in itself, a wonderful gift to us. I, on the other hand, am a romantic at heart, and cant resist wanting to surprise his super sensitive self with just a small token. (No, he doesnt cry at dolpins in the sunset, I just mean that he is perfectly fine with expressing and showing his emotions) So anyway, back to the gifts. I had a mans handkerchief custom embroidered with a very sentimental little saying on it, with my name and our wedding date, and I am going to have my MOH deliver it to him while we are all getting ready in the venue. I know my fiance too well also, and I know that this is going to melt his heart and I know that he will be shedding a tear or two during our ceremony, so I couldnt think of a more perfect gift for him. As far as I know, he is still following the “us not exchanging gifts” agreement, and I am perfectly OK with that, because on the day that I get to become his wife, thats the greatst gift I could ever ever receive.

Ms Hedgehog, I think your soon to be husband will absolutely love anything that you present to him, and if I could bet, Im pretty sure he feels the same way about you as I do about Brendan. He’s getting you, what else could he ask for?

I know this was posted a month ago…but I have to say that your ideas are seriously adorable…

The poems and cufflinks are better than any gun ever!

Your idea is amazing, especially compared to a gun. Go for it! I hope you get that puppy 🙂
