@spicybee:  I think working out the realtionship details first and then the wedding is the way to go – figure out where you would live at the very least. A really important part of wedding planning is budget, and that is probably going to depend highly on your job and living arrrangements, which dictate how much money you can save.

Sounds like you realize that you should be in more solid circumstances before you actually marry, which is great, but it doesn’t mean you can’t plan now! There’s so much you can do without actually having to book or necessarily buy anything! Use this time to become familiar with all of your options for the hundreds of things that need to be thought about for the wedding. See where you can get the best deals, look into any DIY projects you may want to start well ahead of time, keep your eyes out for the smaller things you could use at your wedding. Just from looking at Wedding Bee and being inspired by so many other people’s ideas makes me want to wait as long as possible before any wedding happens so I can absorb everything and come up with the most awesome stuff for myself. I feel like the list is endless, and then it will all feel so worth it once you’re actually ready and have everything in order, which doesn’t sound like it should be all that far away anyway 🙂 And by the way, my boyfriend and I have basically already started planning and he hasn’t even proposed! Plus I will be in school for the next 4 years, so I feel you completely.
