Make a List of everything I need to do and when it needs to be done by. Even the small things like “Buy make up remover”

Then I start crossing them off as I do them. It feels good to cross off small accomplishments and it helps me plan and prioritize the to-do list.

I also make time for snuggles with the FH!  That down time can really help me focus and accomplish more. So I say I will do “this” for an hour qand if I am finished and then get ready for bed… and then I do it because that hour I am busting my butt to get it done.

When I’m really stressed out I think that it’s really important to make time for me. I’ll just leave it all at home and go for a run. It really calms me down and is so relaxing.

Another thing I do to de-stress is find a clean section of the house (I cannot relax if I’m in a room that is dirty…I’ll feel like I have to clean it) and cuddle up with a book with my headphones in.

Good luck!! I hope you’re able to relax!

I thank heavens every day that my wedding is coming soon and I can breathe again. Honestly. Most stressful event in my life.

So I HATE to exercise, but that seems to help my stress A LOT. Also I like to booze it up.

Generally speaking – if I can identify what is causing me to stress out (beyond the immediate stressor) that really helps me figure it out.

Meaning – either it’s just a feeling/response – or, it’s something that needs action to minimize whatever the stress is.

If there are things coming at you from all different angles, perhaps just focus on dealing with one thing and getting rid of it.

Getting enough sleep, also helps me deal with stress MUCH better.

Meditation, focusing on my breath, and just trying to refocus usually helps me. I get over anxious and sometimes I build things up in my head to be worse than they are so I try to take a step back, calm myself, and then figure out a solution to what is causing me stress. Hope that can help.

To me, running is the best thing for stress. Put on fast-paced music, angry, angsty, whatever mood you’re feeling, and run it out of your system. Not only will running sap all that nervous energy, it boost your endorphins and is healthy for you.

To better cope with stress:

Exercise.  For me, running is best.

Eat well.  It was surprising to me how much better I was able to handle stress when I ate healthy foods–lots of veggies and fruit, and no refined sugar goodies.  Vitamins, especially B vitamins, help too.

Get enough sleep.

To accomplish things:

Yes, @lefeymw, make lists.  I have been known to get myself started with things like “wake up” and “brush teeth.”  Have a plan for each day so you’re not just freaking out thinking “OMG I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO!”

I just moved, am finishing my Master’s thesis, and planning a wedding.  These tactics are my friends.  🙂

Exercise! Whether I’m just stressed or downright pissed off, a good exercise session always helps me.

That and Wii Boxing. I love punching the hell out of those obnoxious little Miis 😉

Yoga, read an easy book, read a magazine, take a nap, smoke a joint, have a glass of wine, take a long walk, watch a funny movie, go out with friends, pet my animals, talk with my husband

Exercise while listening to music.  I usually listen to rock/hardcore bands when I’m in that mood.  But not everyone can tolerate it.  Good luck.
