Our wedding colors were inspired by a few things but what finally hammered the last nain was when I saw how perfectly these colors went together. And then we found the PERFECT flower. I think maybe that was the real final straw in our decision. Either way, I still love it! Now, we did supstitute the gray for black but that was because the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses were already black.
What inspired or help finalize your wedding colors?

@Mrs Hedgehog: Beautiful Flower WOW!!! 🙂 and Love your colors!
Our colors were inspired by one of my favorite bands CD cover…my Fiance doesnt like them, so I never really told him where I came up with the colors! hahaha 🙂 Here is the album cover, and I substitued Black for Dark Gray….

I was inspired by the theme I wanted which was “simply elegant”… hence black and white. Classic!

Spring or nature. More or less.
A lot of different shades of green and greys, with a very light blue used by Destination Wedding and I for accent.

Purple and silver with a splash of green.
Inspired by my favorite color (purple) and the color combos that I like best with it. Also, purple and green eye makeups make my hazel eyes POP and for some reason that’s why I wanted those colors. I won’t admit to anyone IRL the real story, LOL

My favorite colors… That flower sealed the deal for me too 🙂 but warning… I couldn’t get it 🙁 not trying to burst your bubble, but just trying to warn you just in case!

Some flowers that Fiance (when he was still BF) surprised me with one day. It had the prettiest purple and green…I know everyone is doing purple and green right now but I don’t care, the colors make me happy!

This is a little embarrassing to admit, but Kim Kardashian did. I loved how her wedding had neutral tones and all the girls were dressed in ivory. I had most of my wedding in ivory (ivory flowers and ivory centerpieces, etc.), my sister and SIL’s wore ivory, my mom and his mom wore black (because his mom didn’t want to wear ivory) and my BM’s wore navy for a contrast.

@Mrs Hedgehog: That has to be the coolest flower I’ve ever seen!! Gorgeous!
My colors were cobalt blue, silver, and pale yellow. I’ve had a thing for cobalt bottles ever since I was a kid…they’ve always been entrancing to me (so we incorporated my huge collection of randomly shaped cobalt bottles into our centerpieces). These are pics from my home of my cobalt inspiration:

Does weddingbee count? I did a lot of searches for what would look good with red (our favorite color) and saw a lot of brides who had done teal.

Our wedding was in July and we got them! You can see it here in hos moms corsage, on his bout in the next picture, and in my bouquet. There were supposed to be on all the men but somehow my florist messed up and put them in green orchids instead. That still bugs me… oh well! lolWe did have to special order them since they don’t actually occure naturally. The blue is dyed into them.

I LOVE Blink! I grew up on them and can’t get enough of their old stuff. This new CD? Meh, I could take it or leave it.

That’s awesome! So happy for you 🙂 My florist wouldn’t do them because they are dyed lol… But I love how our flowers ended up looking – I let that specific detail go – But I still think they are so gorgeous!

My fiance is a mariner and we both love lighthouses. So, it seemed natural to go with a nautical theme so that led us to navy, ivory and touches of gray.
