My brother and I spluurrrrrrged and got my parents an iPad 3 for Christmas. I want to have a list of application ideas for them to load on there when they open it…any suggestions?
They both like reading and writing. My mom likes to create art. LOL. Angry Birds is a given. They like trains, history, nature, food, wine…
So yeah. Any suggestions?

My mom is obsessed with Words with Friends (my family is full os scrabble fanatics, so we all play).
There are a ton of apps for food lovers. Urban Spoon is good for finding new restaurants to try, and Real Simple has a good recipe app where you can plug in ingredients to create a menu based on that.
An app I’ve seen and been meaning to download is called something like Wine Pro. You take a photo of a wine bottle’s label, and the app recognizes it and tells you about the wine and gives you ratings.
You could also load a few favorite TV shows, books, and movies.

Nook is probably one of my most favorite apps for books especially since there is a ton of free books on Barnes & Noble site.
