My mom is obsessed with Words with Friends (my family is full os scrabble fanatics, so we all play).

There are a ton of apps for food lovers. Urban Spoon is good for finding new restaurants to try, and Real Simple has a good recipe app where you can plug in ingredients to create a menu based on that.

An app I’ve seen and been meaning to download is called something like Wine Pro. You take a photo of a wine bottle’s label, and the app recognizes it and tells you about the wine and gives you ratings.

You could also load a few favorite TV shows, books, and movies.

Nook is probably one of my most favorite apps for books especially since there is a ton of free books on Barnes & Noble site.
