Yes, and it was a good idea, really benefited the event.

Yes, but it wouldn't have mattered either way.

No, maybe one would have been helpful.

No, everything seemed well without one.

They are just for the ceremony. They usually list the names of the parents and bridal party, the order of the ceremony, any readings/songs/hymns, etc. The only time I found one helpful was when there were group hymns included in the ceremony — other than that, they can be cute but aren’t necessary.

Ceremony Program = A most loathed and disliked DIY project for Maid/Matron of Honor and BM’s alike also a complete waste of paper since youre ceremony isn’t an opera…people don’t need the play by play nor the cast list.

We had one and my cousin had one the year before us; I found it really nice to know what was going on in the ceremony.

We had a very short ceremony so we just did a nice design that named our parents, MoH and Bridesmaid or Best Man, the judge and the musicians. It was a single sided half sheet of linen paper that we just printed at home. We got a lot of compliments on it actually!

They are really helpful for church weddings, especially if they include congregational hymns, prayers, responses, etc. I wouldn’t dream of not having a program for our Catholic wedding.

For a short, simple wedding, though, they aren’t really necessary.

I like them because I like to see who the bridal party is etc but they are definitely not neceessary. I did one solely because I wanted something people could fan themselves with in the 95 degree heat, and for the decor aspect. Otherwise they were pretty pointless. And yes I made them myself.

I don’t have a pic of ours at the moment but it’s similar to this one:

I’ve never been to a wedding that had one. I don’t think they are necessary unless your wedding is complicated, or moving around or something.

Also, I thought they were like this

We will be eating cake at 4:00

    You can dance at 5:00

We’ll toast at 5:30 or whatever the f. I didn’t know it was for the ceremony which seems even less necessary, but a another reason to make/buy something cute.
