Canadian Bee. I’ve lived all over and it’s not usually the temperature that makes me feel cold, but the damn wind chill! It can be -15 out with a wind chill that makes it feel like -34, lol. We can get a real biting cold here.

I’m in Silicon Valley and I’d say low 50s. I wouldn’t mind it a bit colder and definitely wouldn’t mind it being rainy more often. I love gloomy weather.

lavenderstone :  Canadian as well! In Calgary it can get to be -40 C but that’s pretty rare. It’s definitely cold though. I grew up in Winnipeg. It is SO COLD there in the winters. The windchill just kills you…

Michigan, -20 F is what I consider bitter cold. I still run outside down to about 20 F (as long as the wind is less than 15 MPH or so)

I’m from Canada. Used to live in Northern Alberta – where every winter we see -40C come at least once or twice. In Canada most schools close if the temperatures dip below -40C, because it’s dangerous for kids to be walking to and from school in temperatures like that. They can freeze their skin in a couple of minutes if it’s not well covered.

The VERY coldest I’ve ever seen was in university. One day in January it was -77C. It was the ONLY time they’ve ever closed the university due to cold weather. It was literally so cold that people went outside and grabbed their car door handle to pull it open, and the metal handle would crack off. Rubber tires cracked. My car radiator cracked because my antifreeze was only good to -45C. Water pipes burst. Fortunately it was a 1 time only event!

Oh, fuck that…

I’m in GA and it was close to 90F today. It’s also not unusual for us to be in shorts around Christmas. It really doesn’t get cold here until about Jan-March.. And “cold” is about 25ishF.

I’m from the SF Bay Area and anything below 50 degrees is freezing. 50’s are COLD. 65 is perfect, unless it’s windy lol. I hate the few days it gets down to the 40’s or lower.

I was raised in Florida and wore flip flops year round for most of my childhood. I can’t do the cold!

northernlight :  I’m from Sweden 🙂 when it gets to -20 Celsius (-4 Fahrenheit) I would say it’s officially a cold winter. -25 Celsius (-13 Fahrenheit) is the coldest winter I’ve had, but I live in Stockholm, so it can get much colder up north of course.

Nova Scotia, Canada. Average winter temp is -15C. Anything down around -20C and I’m too cold. Thankfully -40C is basically unheard of here because I’d never leave my bed.

The worst was when the polar vortex went through WI a few years ago. Temps were as low as -40F! Schools were cancelled. People stayed home if they could avoid going out!
