I don’t have one myself, but he does micropave halo rings and the center stones are often cut with a large table so that they appear HUGE (like double the size for their carat weight) and sit lower in the setting.

I think Gwyneth Paltrow’s ring is made by him.  It has that look, anyway…

I do, it is absolutely fabulous!  They also I think have a more faceted cut so the sparkle is really brilliant.

Oh, also…he is a specialist in Cushion cut, and is “known” as perfected the art of cutting them to maximize table and sparkle.

Yes, I need a good picture of my ring.  That is obviously cell phone camera in the car, does no justice!

It’s not flat. What Daussi did was cut the stone opposite of the way a traditional cushion is cut. Cushions face up smaller than their respective carat size due to the depth. A daussi cushion is cut with a larger table and less depth in order to get a stone that appears larger than it’s respective carat size. It’s pretty clever. But not everyone loves it. But not everything is for everyone. I think they are beautiful. It’s not a flat stone, but it is flatter than a traditional cushion. It gives it a slightly different appearance. Which is what is so great about cushions – the variety of appearance.

Here is mine! Love the floating halo. Mine is a Henri Daussi with a 1.72kt round brilliant center stone.

Here’s my Henri Daussi. I’ve posted this pic on a couple of other threads, so sorry if someone is seeing it again. 🙂 I just love it so much!
