Hi all: I keep seeing references to windmills in Emerald cuts. What are they?
Hi all: I keep seeing references to windmills in Emerald cuts. What are they?
Just adding to the @GridMonster….Windmills are an older cutting style. Top has windmills due to that cut-corner. The wider the cut, the bigger the windmills.
No windmills. The facets meet at a 45 degree junction. This is technically a “rectangular step cut” example.
Ascher’s are a derivation of a Emerald cut with really wide windmills, square and they are technically an octogon.

Thank you!!!
