(Closed) what is a wishing well at the wedding?

It’s for gifts of money to be put in an envelope and placed in the well. We are having one at ours.

Hiya,  We’re having a wishing well too.

 

Its just a dressed up ‘letterbox’ if you like so that guests can put the cards in there, as many cards today contain money these are great as the wishing wells are usually locked so it is also a way of keeping your cards and gifts secure x

Weird…around here, a wishing well is only done at bridal showers, and you put small gifts (dish towels, wooden spoons, cleaning supplies, etc) in it.  You also give a big gift, but you bring something small for the wishing well.
