We spent about $55 each, but since you are paying for their dresses, I absolutely think you can go a little more simple. I think your idea sounds very nice. For those who paid for their own dresses, could you add a nice robe or something? I got some off of Etsy for about $25 each and they are very nice, something the girls will use a long time.

We had a hard time for the groomsmen too. Fiance ended up getting them a humidor and a set of 8 cigars (you could skip the humidor to cut on costs though).

@jennabug:  Honestly, I really think it depends on how much your wedding is costing them in time/money and what your budget allows.  I spent about $100 per person in our wedding party (the only expense for them was travel), but I only have 4 people to get gifts for (2 on each side).  If I had 10 people, I’d only be able to spend $40 per person.  As long as it’s a gift they’ll enjoy, cost shouldn’t matter.

We have 6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen and are spending about $50 on each but $80 on the Maid of honor and Best Man. It is difficult in your situation as you have bought some of their attire. If i paid for the girls dresses i would just get them something small.
