Your dress is gorgeous, and looks very similar to mine!

I have been struggling with this same question… regarding accessorizing with the tulle ballgown dress. In my head, I can’t picture a veil looking great with poofy tulle bottom. My friend said it would look great with a finger-tip veil with just a lil bling on the edges. She’s going to let me try her’s on with my dress to see.

Sorry I don’t have any pics but I’m def subscribing to this board in case other responses come through.

Your dress looks like mine also, I’m wearing the Nora from Maggie Sottero. I’ll be wearing my mother’s pearls with matching earings, a tiara and a two tier veil. I don’t have a picture of the veil with me (I’m at work lol). But here’s my pearls and tiara.

This is my dress:

And I’m still stumped on what kind of veil I will wear, but it will probably be a very simple veil with minimal detailing and trimming so it doesn’t compete with the cap sleeves. As far as accessories I will probably wear fairly simple drop earrings and a delicate bracelet; no necklace.

@UpstateNYPrincessBride: this is my dress and I’m only wearing my two tier veil, it’s not the long ones because I don’t want to take away from the dress. But the veil has a trim of small rhinestones and pearls that match my necklace and the dress. Hope This Helps

My dress is like a princess on steroids, so I’m doing a cathedral-length veil and a tiara.

@ohheavenlyday: I can’t wait to see your pictures with that dress.  I have serious dress envy!  Could you do a really soft birdcage with some sort of fascinator?

@tntrav44:

I probably could but a birdcage is SOOOO not me, LOL, and our chapel is 100 years old and very simple, on the marsh in Savannah. It’s just too “old” a setting to wear something as modern as a birdcage, I think.

This is our chapel:

@tntrav44: The cathedral veil with your dress looks GREAT! I havng been considering a cathedral veil as well… was looking them up on etsy last night! =)

Okay ladies, here is a picture of me and my dress (without crinoline/hoops and pre-fitting, etc). Think a simply cathedral veil would look great with it? My concern is that in addition to being a tulle ballgown, the dress has pick-ups on the top layers (so it doesn’t lay down flat) so I’m not sure if a cathedral veil would be too much.

Ahh, decisions decisions… the veil is only $30… maybe I should buy it and hope for the best!
