- Wedding: June 2017 - Grandover Resort
Ours is 17 months for a very specific reason. We got engaged 1/8/16. My fiancé works out of the country in Europe every year from August-April. So our only options to get married were May, June & July but we felt like 2016 was too soon and we didn’t want to rush to plan our big wedding. So we decided on June of 2017 instead. Works out perfect for our situation!

Almost 2 years. We wanted to try 1 year at first but I had to be honest with myself… I have major anxiety and I think it would have made it miserable to try to cram it all in, planning-wise and financially. So we decided we were okay with 2.
I’d rather give myself time, have a little fun with it, and more comfortably afford the wedding we really want. (With minimal panic attacks. LOL)

We got engaged in May 2013. We would’ve loved to be married by September of the same year, but decided on June 7, 2014 to try to ensure my family from the east coast could make it. We ended up with a 13 month engagement and only 6 of my family members came..would’ve been 4 months had we known! However, the longer engagement ensured we had the wedding and honeymoon of our dreams!

We are getting married on the 8th anniversary of us becoming “official”. Didn’t really feel the need for a piece of paper. We had a 3 year old at the time (long story why we weren’t together sooner). However, since finding out we were expecting again, we decided it might be best for both their benefits, since SC supposedly doesn’t recognize common law or its a case by case thing or whatever.

Our engagement will be 16 months. We got engaged in February of this year, but I graduated from college (yay!) two weeks ago. A wedding this summer would have been too soon for us. Plus, I will be a teacher next year, so our wedding needed to fall within a school break time. Next summer just made sense!

14 months… because we got engaged in Oct 2014, and wanted a winter wedding but we didnt have money saved up and 3 months to plan a wedding wasn’t happening. So we set our date for the next Jan 30 2016 coming. 🙂

18 months. We decided where we wanted to go for our honeymoon (New Zealand) and it is the opposite season there than here at home (US) so we decided to get married in the winter months here so we could have a summer honeymoon there. Couldn’t afford to get married that same year so we just pushed it out to save money and have more time to plan everything out.

33 months here! We got engaged October 2014 and we will tie the knot July 2017 🙂
We needed lots of time to save for our dream wedding and we wanted to thoroughly enjoy engagement before the wedding planning took off. We didn’t even set a date until May 2015. We take our time. No rush! We have already been together almost 6 years and by the time we are married we will have been together for 7. To each their own!

A little under 6 months for us. We didn’t want a big wedding, and I had zero desire to have a long engagement or plan for ages. I’ve been way more invested in the new house we’ll be moving into in two months. We both always wanted to be married in October, so we just went for it. We sat down a few days after we mutually decided we wanted to get married and talked about what we wanted. We had everything booked in a matter of two weeks, and got every single first choice vendor we wanted. It’s been the easiest planning ever! It helps that we are both very low-key, had a shared vision, and only plan to have 30 guests.

Our was/is 9 months (get married next week!). We were dating just 9 months when we got engaged.
We chose this date for a lot of reasons:
A) we just want to be married
B)it was after school year (I teach)
C) allergies will have died down
D) before triathalon/running-race season really starts (we both run, he does triathalons & wknd after our wedding is 1st of many this summer)
E) we’ll go on our honeymoon in June about a month later 🙂

4 years! Engaged in March of 2012 and married in April of 2016. We had a few life challenges to work through, and also had a baby and bought a house, so it was perfect for us. We have been together 7 years this year.

Our engagement will be 9 months. We’re impatient and didn’t want to wait that long to get married. At the time that he proposed, we had been dating for five years and living together for 1.5 years, so it’s not like we’re rushing by any means.

Our engagement will be 3 years. I’m starting grad school this Fall so there go 2 years of my life, plus a year to plan the wedding since there’s no way I’ll be working and going to school full time and planning a wedding on top of that. So 2019 it is! We’re fairly young though (almost 23 and 24) so we’ll be fine waiting.
