I don’t know.  Let me know if you find out.  Better yet, let me ask FI’s mom, because my half is done! HA!

Seriously though, I had been on FI’s family since Thanksgiving, and I just got their list (with several blank ones) a few days ago.  Fiance thought we could just look them up in the phone book….Seriously.

@ Kittyachi….I definitely feel your pain…went through the exact same with Fiance and family….I just don’t understand it either! I just started addressing/mailing them out….then they all got on it!

Here’s a good one – – There are around 20 guests that I have no NAMES for! They are members of FI’s moms sorority and choir (I wish I was making this up.) I asked her for their names and addresses, and she said “Save the postage, I will hand them out at our next meeting.” Seriously.  Like they are flyers for a kegger or something.

It is unbelievable, I have had the exact same experience. I’m practically ready to send out invites, and I still have just first names (no last or addresses) for some of FI’s father’s family. At this point, we are getting tight on numbers, and I just want to stop reminding and say “oops!”

OMG I could have written this exact same post this morning!

My mom will NOT give me the address/names of our relatives! I have even asked (ok, begged at this point) to just borrow her address book for 2 days so I could photocopy all the address cards I need and she doesn’t have to do a thing – you would think there was Top Secret info in that book that way she won’t let it go!

My Fiance was terrible.. i got to the point i just addressed and sent the Save-The-Date Cards of those i knew… he has 4 or 5 sitting on his desk with a stamp on it for a month now. I don’t even care.. If he doesn’t get them out then i guess those people will not be invited. It sounds mean because they are his aunts but I do not know them well (i barely know his dad’s side of the family) so it is his problem, not mine.. i told him that and still they sit there.

Seriously! I still need like 30 addresses. My Future Father-In-Law has TEN siblings and on the list they gave me with names and addresses… half of them have nicknames! I was like.. hey Fiance, who is “Luba?” He was like… oh I think that is Uncle Frank.

Seriously!?? haha

I’m finally down to 5 “missings” that Fiance has to get addresses for. It’s going to be our “to do” for this weekend. Get me those darn addresses so I can get these buggers out the door! If he doesn’t want to call his friends, why are they his friends?!?

I’m with you!!  I told Darling Husband that I needed all the info for the Save-The-Date Cards and he STILL didn’t actually get me all the info I needed.  I did the same as BeachFanatic.  I stamped them and brought them home blank and told him if he wanted someone to attend, he would have to address them himself.  He ended up not inviting a couple people.  I think he didn’t want to invite them in the first place, so it was a convenient excuse.

My mom got me addresses right away though…wonder what’s with all the dragging feet??  Your wedding is in 7 months, those need to go out!  I would call EVERY DAY then e-mail EVERY DAY until she got them to me.  Or just get the phone number for ONE relative, and call them instead.  My Aunt Mary is like the family bookeeper, and she had everyone’s info on hand and e-mailed it to me the next day.

Oh my – my mom’s ears must have been burning when I typed my earlier post! I *just* got this e mail from her LOL:

“I have to come to Portland today, so I guess I can drop off the phone rolodex today at your house.

I have to come back to Portland tomorrow to get your brother from the train station – and I will need to pick up the rolodex then – love, Mom”

Looks like I’ll be a photocopying fool tonight/tomorrow morning! 🙂
