I think on average, the majority of ER stones I’ve seen in-person have been around the 1ct mark.  We did recently move to an area where the cost of living is a bit higher and I have noticed they typically have over 1.5ct center stones.  My father is a jeweler and my stepmom chose a 1ct moissanite that is simply stunning.  My SIL has a gorgeous and I mean GORGEOUS Chatham sapphire in peach.  I recently sold my 2ct earth mined diamond and replaced it with a 2 ct lab grown diamond that outperforms it leaps and bounds. I wouldn’t say that I see more diamonds than other stones – I love the variety and diversity of wedding jewelry these days!

kaykibbs87 :  Puhleezzz tell me the color of your manicure!

As to size: I have a three carat heirloom sapphire which he gave me when he proposed.  As a wedding gift he gave me a two carat emerald cut diamond with pave bezel.

mine is about 1.75 cts, I voted 2 because of the halo…but I didn’t know which option was bwst 1.5 or 2.

I love my ring, and it sparkles like crazy IRL but It has been impossible for me to take a good pic of it!!

My lil .47 oval, after joining the bee I was suprised how large some rings are. I’m from small town Midwest and rarely do I see much bigger than .5 – .75 around here.
