I paid $120 the day-of for hair/make-up (combined), including lashes. My trials were free, as was my DD’s (flower girl) day-of look. My girls were charged $100 (for both hair/makeup, combined) without lashes, or an extra $10 if they wanted them.

$200 per Bridesmaid or Best Man & $250 for the bride for hair and make up is the standard where I’m from. Pretty pricey.

@princessggg:  For me and 3 bridesmaids, our hair will cost $230. My trial is included in that price.

Make up, on the other hand technically cost me somewhere in the $280 range BUT that’s because I actually purchased an airbrush machine/makeup and have been using it for several months 🙂 This purchase will last me many moons past the wedding, and for me it was an excellent investment.

I’ve offered to let my BM’s use the airbrush system but most of have turned it down unless I do their make up for them – and that is not happening on my wedding day lol

I was quoted similar pricing for someone to come to me to do airbrush, which is why I opted to go to a salon instead (especially because she had the same rates for bridesmaids as well, and my BMs ended up deciding they wanted their hair and make-up done).

At the salon, I believe I was changed around $65 for airbrush make-up and around $90 for hair, so $155 plus tip. This included my hair and make-up trials as well; they were not additional. My BMs paid $20 for normal (non-airbrush make-up) and $48 for their hair, or $68 total with no trial.

I didn’t regret going to a salon personally, because we got our own area and got special treatment from the salon as a wedding party (free mimosas and snacks, etc.).

I paid $65 plus tip for hair. That included her coming to me. Nothing for makeup, had a family member do it.

$680 total. That’s hair for me, 4 bridesmaids, 1 jr bridesmaid, 2 flower girls, and my mom; makeup for me, my mom, and 2 bridesmaids; and hair and makeup trial for me. And they’ll travel to me which is great. Pricey, but I wanted to do this for my ladies so they could get all done up without having to empty their wallets.

I got lucky – one of my awesome bridesmaids is doing my makeup for free. 🙂 We have been practicing and it looks great every time.  I just had to buy my own set of brushes and provide my own makeup.

My hair stylist and I have a personal connection, so, again, lucky – she agreed to do my hair for $40 and my trial was only $25.  She is also doing my bridesmaids’ hair for $30 each.

I only cost $65 altogether, and it I pay for my bridesmaids as well, that still only brings me up to $155. Sweeeeet.

I think about $65-$90 for hair (depending on complexity of style and length of hair) and $35 for airbrush make-up and probably $30 for fake lashes. And $65 for hair trial. It was better than my previous person who was significantly more expensive.

The most affordable I have found is $140 (which is about average) and $110 for makeup. I feel overwhelmed. It just seems like a lot of money.

I live just outside Chicago and was expecting my stylist to charge a lot more for traveling up to WI with me for my hair – Only $60 total! I’m not sure about trials, but even if it’s another 60 then I’m not concerned at all. My makeup is going to be $35 with a free trial run and traveling since she’s located up there anyway.

I am lucky to have friends that are willing to do it. One friend works at a salon so we will all be going there in the morning. Hair will cost me around $60. Then, my other friend who does makeup for fashion shows, etc, will be coming to the church to do my makeup for $35. So it should cost me around $100.

Ugghhh I’m so jealous!

I’m paying 500$ for a hair and MUA to come to the inn to doll me up.  This is way more than I wanted to spend.  I got dolled up for my e-shoot and that came out to like 150$…so this is over the top.

Once again it’s a preferred vendor…remember our like 5$pp cupcake prices.  I digress, but I did contact the baker to say it was strange how much higher priced our cupcakes than everyone else in the world and she said some blabitty blah about the little flowers on top (but the website says little flowers on top are standard).  So whatevs, I played nice and just basically implied that she better damn well get everything right since she played us.

ANYWAY…so another preferred vendor…way overpriced.  And It’s just the way it is.  We’re out of state so at least there’s some sort of recommendation.

$170 – Hair + Airbrush Makeup for the Bride

$77 for travel (to be split a few ways)

$100 – Hair + Make up Trial

So I’ll be spending around $300 all said and done. I originally was going to DIY the hair + make up, but I realized that this is my special day and I am DIYing so much other stuff – why not get pampered! I’m spending alot on photography – may as well pay an additional expense to make sure I look fabulous all day long and not have worry about it!
