For my wedding I fell in love with this one particular bouquet my florist is very good and has great ideas to do this bouquet with sparkle to make it look even better. The only problem is everyone in my family is giving me crap about the price. My florist said they can do this bouquet with sparkle for $325. Which I don’t think it is that bad considering I heard some girls paying up to $800 for simple bouquets. I really love it and I will probably get it anyways but I was just wondering what you ladies are paying for yours?

$85 as part of a package and I’m having a HUGE bouquet. Could you use garden roses instead of peonies to get the price down? I would get quotes from other florists. The highest quote I got was for $150.

Mine is modelled off of Ivanka Trump’s and it is 150 euros- it has stephanotis, gardenias and roses.
800 for a bouquet is outrageous!

@JustMarried51912: WOW! That is a beautiful bouquet. I love the colors and the feathers…but I gotta say that I think that $325 is a HUGE amount of money for flowers to carry around for half a day. I totally understand falling in love with something and really really wanting it but that is a car payment or half a months rent for me and I could not bring myself to spend that much for flowers. You should see if there is anyone you know who knows how to make bouquets and ask them to make it. Wiring flowers and grouping them to make this really is not difficult. In fact I bet with practice you could even make this with flowers you order from a florist.
(I went to floral school and worked for a florist for 2 years and I gotta say…anytime you mention “wedding” their eyes turn to dollar bills)

I’m paying $175 for mine, including a toss bouquet. Here’s what I’m getting:
A classic hand-tied bouquet in shades of purple and blue created using flowers such as purple lisianthus, purple calla lilies, purple Mokara orchids, blue delphinium, a few white roses and white dendrobium orchids, with pittspori greenery, Jewels peeking from the flowers, stems wrapped with coordinating silk ribbon attached with a vintage style rhinestone brooch

Holy crap, I thought $150 was rediculous for my bouquet. The highest quote I got was $200 based on this picture:
I ended up paying $80 for mine from Whole Foods. They do florals at cost of just the flowers with no mark up for labor like a florist would include.

I know that it is a lot of money, but the lowest price for any type of bouquet even one with cheaper flowers that I have heard of where I live is about $200. The reason why this bouquet is more is because it has a lot of peony’s which are pretty expensive from what I am told. I also took floral design for a year a while back and helped out at a florist for a while so I could do it myself but I don’t really have the time and I really don’t want to screw it up.

If you took floral deisgn, and still are comfortable with the price and want to spend it, go for it! Better to just take the plunge and be sure you are getting what you want than to chance not having it exactly how you want and regret it. $150 – $175 vs $325 is only $150 or so difference. At the end of a wedding recipt, that’s a drop in the bucket.

@MrsBroccoli: I checked with the florist about garden roses instead but he said they were almost nearly as expensive. I guess I might as well get what I want. It was a good idea though.

Mine was $185 for peonies (about 12 of them). If you love it and you’re ok with the price, go for it! It’s beautiful.

Mine was 150, I think. I would never spend more than that, as I carried it down the aisle, back up the aisle, then handed it off and never saw it again until after the wedding.
I had the handle wrapped with a handkerchief my grandmother gave to me, that she bought when I was a little girl to be my “something blue” someday (the giant RHR is my other grandmothers, and my other something blue).

My bouquet was $150 and my girls were $75 each.

I used silks from afloral.com (DIY)… with shipping and ribbon, I paid less than $40.
But Darling Husband and I are CHEAP!

I went for the DIY option too 😀
For my bouquet and 7 bridesmaids bouquets it cost me around £65 altogether (as in flowers, ribbon, buttons, floral wire). My bridesmaids have amaryllis flowers and my bouquet is a mixture of lily of the valley (main component), white lavender, baby’s breath and there are a few pieces of flowering grass in there too.. all of which are artificial 🙂
All of your bouquets look stunning by the way 😀
