My bridesmaids are all getting different long dresses in the same color. However, the sales lady acted like it would be fine if they picked from two different satins. But when I looked at the satins, one was definitely noticeably lighter than the other satin. The duchess satin was definitely lighter in the color that i wanted than the matte satin. The matte satin seemed more purpler. Problem was that they only had a one little centimeter sample of the matte satin, and a large sample of the duchess satin.
I was trying to read online etc……and the duchess satin should be more shiny than matte? I am not sure I know what the difference is. My sister said matte might be better because the shinier the satin might make someone “look more fat”.
Someone please tell me that I made the right decision in deciding that everyone should get the matte satin? (There also seemed to be more to choose from at the stores in matte rather than the duchess)
So anyways, which is better in your opinion, the duchess or the matte satin? By the way its from the Dessy/After Six collection. The color is Tahiti(a lavender).
