We decided we wanted black tie. We want the look of a chic, hip, ultra exclusive NYC premire so we want every one to dress to the nines. Our guest will be really into it.

Country/vintage/relaxed/romantic/stress-free is what we are going for. We want guests to let loose and have an awesome time.

They’ll be lots of “stuff” to do. Candy bar, photobooth, slideshow playing on a screen throughout the reception that people can watch whenever they want to, possibly a game on the back of the ceremony program. We don’t want anyone sitting around listening to speeches or feel bored, whatsoever.

Romantic, Classic, and  a little Preppy

We’re having our wedding outside at an amphitheater on the harbor, and then having the reception at a small yacht club (indoor/outdoor).

GMs will be wearing suits and colorful ties.

We are thinking Ralph Lauren style.

Ours will be formal in attire, but with a fun party attitude. Our possible venue has pool tables, I’m hoping for some cute action shots of my groom and I playing pool 🙂

We are going for a fun, summer vibe with a layer of elegance.  I want everything to look nice while still being chill.  It is during the day at a church during the summer.  We are both traditional while also being pretty laid back so that is what we are going for.

One of my wedding goals: Do not pretend to be someone you are not.

So we aren’t formal people. I don’t want to be pretend to have more money than we do with a black tie affair. Our wedding is going to be more of a family reunion with a wedding as a bonus. We are getting married in a garden with a mansion in the background and we are going to have a tent reception in the gardens. We are having a secret garden theme. Short dress, chuck taylors, no tuxedos, irish band, and lots of good drinks, food, and great conversation.

Casual chic. We’re getting married on water but its still a little upscale. Nothing my friends and family can’t handle.

@Miss Tattoo: This is exactly what we’ve been telling people from the beginning.  Family Reunion where there just happens to be a wedding 🙂  I’m a short dress bride, and he’s a no-tux groom.  (he’s not even wearing a suit jacket)

Cocktail attire, here!  Retro, old Hollywood-ish feel to the whole event.  Classy but super fun!

Afternoon formal

we wanted elegant dressy but family friendly.  So we went for a early 20th century vibe

Relaxed, vintage/chic.. Think… BBQ meets high heels 🙂
