I told him his groom’s cake should represent his favorite thing to do. His suggestion: a cake of me, naked. :/
I asked him if he had an opinion on what kind of music to play at the reception. He looked at me straight-faced and said, “Nothing but line dancing.”
That boy keeps me entertained lol

Mine wants a top hat. Except not just a regular top hat. He wants a spring loaded one that will pop open, have the word ‘GROOM’ bouncing around on said spring, throwing confetti everywhere.
I told him he could have it for the reception after the dance and cake cutting. I will have pictures for the rest of my life with my man and his groom hat, and for some reason, I can’t stop smiling about it. Now I just have to find someone that can make such a crazy thing!

These are too funny. When we were brainstorming ways to keep costs down Fiance suggested we have our reception outside of his mom’s place…but get this, his mom doesn’t even have a yard! It’s just a big parking lot with really unsightly buildings as the backdrop. When I told my sister what he said she nearly passed out. LOL

The latest suggestion was for me to walk down the aisle to the instrumental version of F*ck Her Gently by Tenacious D. His rationale is that our friends would find it hilarious, and the older people will think it’s a pretty ballad. Hysterical, but no.

My fiancee and his dad both approached me about having a POTLUCK wedding reception at a local gym. like a gymnasium….

My Fiance wants the recessional song to be the Game of Thrones theme song. We’re getting married in the Catholic church (our church has a set list of songs to choose from…Game of Thrones not being one of them), so I had to shoot him down. Needless to say, the guy is crushed.
Most of the other songs we have to pick for the wedding day (first dance, introduction…etc) he’s brought up using that dang theme song. I’m so sick of Game of Thrones. Lol

Our plan was originally to get the organ player to learn “What’s that comingover the hill?” – very similar theory 🙂

This thread reminds me of this one from a few years ago. I just went through and re-read it. Still cracked me up!

@leecy87 Mine went like this:
Me: Baby, what do you think of the song “When You Got a Good Thing” by Lady A as our first dance?
Fiance: I think that’s a great song, hun! And then maybe we can meld in “Gangdam Style” at the end for a crazy finish!
Me:….uuuuuh? Maybe??….*proceeds with fits of laugher*
He’s too cute!

My fiance wants our cat to be involved in the wedding. He’s an indoor cat who pretty much never leaves our house. We’re having an outdoor wedding and reception an hour away in my dad’s back yard. And did I mention my dad is alergic to cats?

My fi wanted him & his guys to wear tophats, monocles & “cash canes”.
Yeah, he was bummed because I was like.. um..no!?
I told him we could get those props for the photobooth though!
