this is my dress and I have been told (after I bought it) that it’s a knockoff of some designer dress.
This doesn’t bother me or anything but could anyone tell me what dress my dress is based on?
I’m trying to get some styling ideas and there aren’t a lot of pictures with my dress so I’m going to look for the designer one.
Thanks ladies!

The closest thing I can think of is the Amsale dress “Reese.” But even still, it’s not totally alike.
EDIT: Okay I looked again and they look nothing alike. I’m no help.

There is also a watters dress…not sure of the model but on some Galina T3039 threads there are pics of it!

hmm I sometimes think the wedding bee boards don’t work for me? I tried searching and could only find a few threads with my search for t3039 and they were all just girls in the dress (not styled either – just at the initial try on).. hmm..

It reminds me of Priscilla of Boston Maeve. (I think it was actually in the Vineyards Collection)

It’s based on the Augusta Jones Chenoa dress. Mrs. Socks talked about it when she found the Galina dress http://www.weddingbee.com/2010/07/19/knock-off-wedding-dresses/#more-153183
This was also my dress. What kind of styling ideas are you looking for? Accessories? Removing the bow?

@Mrs.SplatterPaint: I am at a loss! I actually love the bow and want to keep it – I don’t like the little silver circle thing on the bow though so that’s coming off.
I don’t know how to style it though! ๐ Honestly, the bow is throwing me off. I love love love it but I don’t know what to pair with it… I like vintage looking things so I was originally thinking birdcage veil, but then I decided against that. So now I’m thinking a big sparkly hair clip or something.
I’m honestly super stumped on styling… if anyone has any idea’s feel free to shoot them my way, lol. I loved the look of this dress on the stylemepretty website but am kind of lost on how to make it my own. I’ve decided our colors will be shades of pink with pops of tiffany blue and gold/champage, kind of like this:

I’m having the same issue with styling. But, first, side note: Holy cow! That definitely is the Augusta Jones Chinoa dress! Never knew it was a knockoff, but it doesn’t bother me in the least. Kinda cool. Ok, back to the original point. I’m having trouble with whether or not to keep the bow because the bow makes it asymmetrical. Which is fine and, in fact, very awesome! Except that I want to wear a birdcage veil which ALSO would be cocked slightly to one side. So then my question becomes whether or not I’ll have TWO accessories on one side and look TOO off balance? Thoughts? Questions? Criticisms? ๐

I would say it’s most similar to the Watters “Austin” gown. When I first saw it it’s the first thing I thought of.

@Bellayella: Take a look at this link, the bride is wearing the Galina dress with the bow and a birdcage veil cocked to one side. I think it looks great!
