No way I’d go above a carat on my tiny 5.5-but-short-from-bottom-of-my-finger-to- knuckle-hand.  Especially because I love, love, love double halos and wouldn’t want anything else.

My princess is just over 2. Finger size 3.5 and it is a perfect size, doesn’t get in the way. I have two very smll babies (lots of bathesand changing) and work with my hands all day. I guess a 3 would be too big and look gaudy.

I currently wear a halo’d 3ct princess cut diamond.  My rig size has gone from an 8 to a 6 1/2.  There is no limit to the size diamond I would wear if given access to it. Bring on the Kardashian-Beyonce size rock!

I would wear a 3-3.5 carat emerald cut. If round cut, probably no bigger than a 2.5. (I have tiny hands – size 3.25).

Size 7 and I think the most would probably be either a 3-3.5. I haven’t tried on these sizes of stones but I think they would look great without to gawdy.

I’m a size 4.5 and I’d rock anything that my arm can carry.

Okay fine, I’d be most comfortable with wearing anything under a 4 ct center stone.. comfortable, meaning I’d feel at ease knowing that other people won’t think it’s completely in-your-face or fake

HA!  There is no such thing… I’ve seen girls rock 15 carat stones as both engagement and fashion rings.  It really just depends on the ring.  Why would I ever limit myself? lol

We got a white sapphire and the largest we would go was 3/4 carat. Any bigger looked too gaudy on my hand. I have small hands, though.

My finger is very small (between 3 and 3.25) and I have a 1.75 RB center stone with pave band. RB is my fave cut and since I prefer one center stone opposed to halos or other styles, I think 3 would be the largest but I’d really have to try it on to see, it may look too large.

With my finger size I think it’s safe to say I could not carats a 20 carat center stone..haha

Wow, I didn’t realize I was so much below the average on this! I told my SO the biggest I’d want was like 0.8 ct! In reality I guess I’d be ok with up to 1 carat, but for me the ideal is between 0.6 and 0.7.  My hands are certainly pretty small, my finger size is about a 6, and I just think 1 carat and up would look so ginormously flashy and gaudy.

imJim a size 4.75 with very long very thin fingers my current ring is 2 carats total 1.5 RB center

the largest I would wear is probably 3ct if it was a RB and 4cts for a fancier cut

@BlondeBee:  i like your style, girl. i love my 2 ct but a girl I know recently got a round solitaire (mine is pear) and looking at them side by side, even though pears tend to look larger, hers just makes mine look tiiiiny. granted I have a 7.5 hand and I’m sure she has to be around 5, 5.5 but wow do I get some ring envy.

what im tring to say is, I LOVE my ring, but if I was $100 bills on my bum status, I’d gladly take a 3-4 ct. solitaite with an eternity band to compliment. let the rock speak for itself!
