My max would be a single carat on my size four finger.

Sign me up for a 2.5 (4.5 finger). Not sure I’d go bigger, and I’d only go that big for a D-F, Ideal, IF-VS1.

Honestly, the biggest possible… If money was a non factor, then I would rock a 25 carat diamond… My fingers are short and small, so I don’t know if I could bend my finger with a ring that was that big, but I certainly would not say no to a huge diamond… I would wear it with pride, honey!

Seriously? Like…1 carat? I currently have a half carat solitaire e-ring, and think it’s perfect on my short size 5.5 finger, and I could deal with up to 1 carat, anything larger would feel to heavy and gaudy for me personally.

For a round stone 2 carats, for an  emeral cut 4 carats.

Definitely the size I have now, 2.1 carat round! Thank goodness we didnt’ go larger, sometimes I even wish I had a 1.5 ct. Unless I switched to a different shape stone, which I personally feel like you can get away with a larger carat size without it looking so huge. For example if I went to an oval, emerald or radiant, I would def consider closer to a 3.

I wear an 8.5, love cushions and I seriously would not go bigger than 2ct. I don’t wear jewelry very often, and certainly not diamonds or anything similar, so that probably changes my view. I have my grandmother’s 3 stone that’s about 2 tcw and that feel way too blingy to me.

Probably 1ct max, but then that’s also because where I’m from 1/4 ct is totally average (thats what my e-ring is) so anything bigger than 1ct has my eyes popping out of my skull!!

I wouldn’t wear anything bigger than 1ct.  I currently have a 3 stone ring that totals 1ct & it’s just perfect on my small hands <3  I do have a diamonique ring that I wear to work as a stand in that is a 3 stone princess cut that totals 2.15 carats (1.25ct center stone, .35ct side stones) and it looks ridiculous on me 🙁

probably up to 2 carats… but I specifically requested less than 1.  I’m no bling bling girl.

I think 3 is as far as I would go for the center stone. It would still be gigantic in normal people standards, but I might not be as scared that I would get robbed. I would have to see what that looked like though… I have never tried a ring on that was of that carat size!

So are you all saying you would turn around to Fiance and ask him to take it back for a smaller diamond?

The largest I would rock for an e-ring is whatever he gave me.

RHR, I dont know, depends on the style 🙂 not particularly worried about size though, the more the merrier.

@LessIsMoore:  Yeah right.  “It’s just too big, honey!  Take it back!”  I think, if people were being really honest, the answer is “whatever we could afford.”
