(Closed) What is the largest carat size you would personally wear?

I think 1.5 on my 6.25 finger.  I’m pretty active and a casual dresser, so a bunch of bling wouldn’t fit my lifestyle at all.

@lilsweetie:  nothing more than 2 carats. i’m a size 6 but for my personal taste, 2 is enough. 🙂

I think my 1.32 carat stone is my max. Looking at other women’s rings at work, my ring feels huge. It also just wouldn’t be practical since I’m a nurse. I tried on a few 1.5 carat stones and they felt way too big and out of place on my finger.

My engagement ring is .75 (my setting minimizes it, frankly, so it looks smaller), and I think that’s pretty great for an every day of your life-type ring. I wear non-precious jewelry that’s much larger, so I guess 2-2.5-carat sized stones would be fine; I just wouldn’t want it in an engagement ring.

So I’m going to be honest and say I’d rock a 4-5 carat diamond. I wear a size 6, but i have long fingers (like… long. Palm a basketball long) and have no issues with bling. 

My 2 ct is pretty perfect, in my opinion. But if money were no object (read: if we could wipe our bums with 100’s) yeah, I’d go big.

I’d say max would be 3 carats. I’m a size 7. My Fiance hasn’t told me the size of my ring, but my guess is probably somewhere between 1.5-2. For the most part, I think it looks pretty big, but I have my days where it feels smaller. But I wouldn’t want anything ENORMOUS.

Probably 2 ct, MAYBE 2.5. Any more than that, and it’s just ridiculous to spend the money, not to mention that people will probably think it’s fake anyway. I have a good job and a nice car, but not 2.5 carat good!

I would say a 2 carat on my size 5 finger.  I currently have a 1 ct center stone and its plenty big!

If I was a millionaire maybe 3-4 carats but that’s probably the ONLY way I would be comfortable wearing that much lol On an average middle class-upper middle class income, I would say 2 carats. I wouldn’t want to spend more than the cost of 2 carats on something that would be on my finger unless I was super rich =P

ETA: My fingers are huge, I’m an 8-8.5 so the 3 carats wouldn’t look near as huge on my fingers!
