@bostongirl27:  We got engaged in Northern Ireland, and I’ve gotten similar questions.  NO.

“Yeah but isn’t everything pretty much done already?” – Asked by my Maid/Matron of Honor during a convo where i was stressing about my ‘to do’ list, and she was probably annoyed by my rant. – UM…NO?? I honestly can’t even remember if i dignified that with an actual response.

“So are you inviting the the girls in our department to your wedding?” – Asked by my batshit crazy co-worker. There are about 20 women in my department, only 2 of which i actually like. I answered with something like “We are having a smaller ceremony, so unfortunately we’ve had to pare down the guest list as it is. To which she replied ” Oh well, we’ll just have to crash the wedding then!” I picked up the phone at my desk and pretended to make a phone call. :/

These are funny.  I get the sames one all the time from the same people usually.

So are you getting nervous?

Are you getting excited?

So how much was your dress?

So if you don’t mind me asking how much did you pay for the whole wedding?

We’ve been engaged for three months. We have not been asked one question. Not one.

One of my Fiance friends wives Wants to do our pictures…she keeps sending me mms of pix she is going to take of us on our day and calling and asking me if I want her to do this or that. What about engagment pix do you want me to take those. I mean you should see the pix she takes of her kids on FB total fail. She even ask me when we first got engaged If I had all of my bridal party picked bc her and her Hubby would love to be in our wedding…REALLY did you just ask me if you could be a BM? WeirdO

I think some people(especially co-workers) ask questions like that just because they don’t know what else to say and it’s the only thing they can think of.

One of my co-workers just the other day asked me if I was sharing wedding items with my FSIL(they are getting married a month after us) – uh NO. We’ll have our day – my brother and his fiance will have theirs. Plus, we have totally different styles. I foresee this being a common and annoying question.

I think I probably annoy people more with my wedding related questions than they annoy me. LOL.

So, who is YOUR photographer going to be?

I’m a wedding photographer, as are several of my closest friends. It’s like THE question everyone asks. I’m so sick of it, because it’s like they’re baiting me to find out why I chose an out of town photographer…or wondering if my photographer friends are offended I didn’t choose them.
