@mrsjlc — did you pick the Alvina? I was SO close to getting it (also October 2017 wedding) and balked because I had been hunting for a dress with straps from the beginning and found one that I loved. If I wanted to be over the top I would’ve gotten both (ceremony and reception) but ultimately went with this . Also side note if this is ridiculously large I’ll try to fix it but apologies if I can’t figure it out…image1 (1)

Sorry if these are large photos (I’m on my phone)

BERTA gives me LIFE!!! So sad that I cannot afford it.

But I am so super happy with my Maggie Sottero gown. I can’t wait until it arrives so I can see what it looks like without all the clamps and awkwardly-fitted bust!

ginalla :  I love your dress!

There was something about the lines of the Alvina that threw me off. I ended up with the Maggie Sottero Mirelle and I absolutely love it! It’s so soft and easy. The Mirelle didn’t have any beading which is what I originally wanted, but it has pewter threading throughout the top layer of lace

Some of my bridal party really didn’t like the dress I chose because it was “too simple” but I justness loved it. First dress I tried on… went back to it after about 30 more.

mrsjlc :  so funny! I wanted exactly the opposite. No beading, very simple. Hello, sequin-covered dress!

Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s definitely. It was so, so different from what most brides were wearing at the time. Its simplicity made it dynamic.

I’m pretty partial to my own sheath! It’s really everything I’ve even wanted in a wedding dress.
