I think the most unique thing about our wedding is that we are doing whatever seems right to us, and not what we think will get people to be in awe of our day or make us stand out.
The thing I think that makes us so unique is that our philosophy on our big day is that if we got married, gave our guests a change to eat, drink, and be merry with us, then it was an awesome day.
It’s just one day, and we aren’t trying to make a show.

If everything goes according to plan, my Fiance and I will be either arriving or exiting the reception (depending on the weather) on a pontoon boat. We haven’t offically booked the venue but we are 99% sure it’s going to be a lake clubhouse and we just think that would be so cool and different!

We had the entire room draped in white fabric, and draped in a way that made the room look like it was just tables, no dance floor. So we said our speechs and then started to exit the room. Everyone thought we were leaving. We then exited into the cocktail area, came back around through another door that was a side entrance to the dance floor (which was essentially the same room as the recepetion) and got in our positions to start our dance. Then the staff pulled back the curtains and everyone was surprised to see that! It was fun. I have photos of it in one of the threads I started.
