Toilet Paper (FILs use single ply- yuck!), feminine hygeine products, Lactaid products, and 409.

Coffee and olive oil.  Fiance manages his family’s restaurant so many of our food items are from restaurant suppliers and are brands I’ve never heard of.  But Fiance is really particular about coffee and olive oil for some reason.

Laundry detergent, tampons/pads, cat litter… probably a few other things.

I actually had to have a discussion about this with my husband. He is no longer allowed to buy the super cheap toilet paper. I don’t care about the specific brand, but it has to be a good 2-ply! I put my foot down.

Q-Tips and toilet paper. Cottonelle is like a soft cushiony cloud on my goodies.

hmm, my 7 stage Reverse Osmosis rather than one of those Brita carbon things (or nothing at all) to clean my tapwater. The city’s water is considered “adequate” because contaminants are only around 300 ppm and it only periodically smells bleach-y (yay?). I’m happy to pay extra not to settle for that level of adequateness, even though the RO can be a hassle sometimes and replacing the membranes is pricey.

I don’t really have brand preferences, but since the only real grocery store near me is a Whole Foods, I don’t see much of a price difference between their Everyday Value stuff and other things. Same with President’s Choice products (only in Canada), which I often prefer to the name brand!

For toilet paper, I buy whatever 3 ply is on sale (my Fiance is a picky man).

@cjah:  We’re a Cottonelle family too. I like the one in the purple packaging.

Also, my Dyson, Tide laundry detergent, Re-Nu contact lens solution, Kraft Mac & Cheese, and Dawn dishsoap.

Cheez-its?  Also I guess cereal and conditioner.  Definitely liquor as well!  No cheap vodka or rum for me.

Otherwise I’m pretty open.

I don’t get the brand-specific TP or paper towel thing.  It’s one thing not to buy the super cheap stuff, but all the name brands are the same.  I get whatever is on sale and is the best price per sq ft.  Or often times the Target brand (paper towels) because they’re the same to me.

I like All Free & Clear so I think Tide is overpriced.  I also have Country Save.

I’m pretty crazy about brands. I’m brand specific on toothpaste, dish soap, laundry detergent, ketchup, peanut butter, toilet paper, paper towels and even coffee creamer.
