FI and I had it out last night over household chores. The one thing that pushes me over the edge is him leaving his clothes on the floor exactly where he took them off for days at a time. I woke up this morning and realized how silly I sounded, getting all upset over dirty laundry on the floor, but sometimes it’s the small things that get under your skin.
What little thing does your SO/FI/DH do that gets under your skin?

He turns the bathroom into a pond system after a shower, and then walks with wet bare feet throughout the rest of the house creating a lazy river lol

He uses a dresser in our spare room and it’s so messy! LOL Leaves receipts, and crap on top of it and you can barely see the surface of it. Also, the laundry bag full of clean, folded clothes and taking them out as needed instead of putting them away (I might start doing this for him one day since I hate it so much!!), falling asleep on the couch 95% of the time and having to wake him 87 times to get up and go into bed. 🙂

Maybe we haven’t been living together long enough but nothing that terribly irks me.
I don’t like that he doesn’t clean AS he cooks, but I try to look at it like, well at least he cooks. And he doesn’t just cook, but about 4 out of 7 days a week, he is cooking dinner when I am getting home from work.
He does leave dirty clothes here and there, never a pile, just a shirt here or a pair of shorts the next day. Again, I just breathe, pick it up, because he does the laundry every weekend, even folds it.
We have only been living together for 2 months, so check back with me. Haha

He’s so logical about everything! Yes, it’s an admirable quality, but sometimes I wish he would just say “You know what, this isn’t the most efficient way to do this, but I’m going to do it anyway!” Is this just men in general? I’ve noticed this a lot with guys and I’m not like this at all, and neither are my girlfriends.

He grew out his facial hair. He now has a ridiculous looking, curly-ended moustache & not even a whole goatee. Just a, I dunno, soul patch? on his chin. RE-DIC!
It’s coming off soon though, so I let it go. I do sometimes point and laugh, he does not exactly appreciate it, but it will all be shaved off soon. So soon. 9 days.

He vacuums right in front of the tv 5 minutes before a show I’m watching is over. Like he can’t wait 5 minutes? It drives me crazy even though I love that he does so much around the house!

@OneOfTheseDaysAlice: BAH! That’s a good one, too. FI will NOT doing anything without “researching” the best options first. A noble quality, but it slows up decision-making considerably!

When I’m cranky and just want to whine about something, he won’t let me just whine. He has to offer alternatives and solutions. This is the only point of contention we have. I know what needs to be done, sometimes I just want to whine!

His clothes, boxers and socks always end up very close to the hamper, but not IN the actual hamper. Same goes for trash. Always an inch or two from the trash, as if he could not will himself to go the one extra step of you know, actually THROWING IT OUT. It drives me NUTS!!

He drops his dirty clothes all over the floor of the bedroom even though the laundry basket is right there! Drives me nuts!

he’s obsessed with technology. Every electrical set up in the house is overly complicated. I can barely turn the TV on.

@iammcdibble: lol that’s a man thing.

Oh, I also hate when he lets his hair get to the perfect length and then cuts it all off. He always looks like a cross between an 8 year old and an insurance salesman when he gets home from the barber…arggg!! haha
