Not the ones during the proposal. The other ones, the professional shots of the couple not mid-proposal and not in their wedding wear.
Silly question perhaps but I have only recently become aware of this as a “thing” and I’m not sure what the main purpose(s) are supposed to be.
What are they usually used for?

Some people use them for the engagement announcement in the paper or to use on their save-the-dates. We did them to sort of test out a potential photographer, as well as to have some great shots of us as a couple to frame. They turned out so well that we framed some nice ones and gave them to our parents for Christmas.

They can be used for save the dates or engarment announcements, and also to get used to the photographer if you’re using the same one for the wedding! Plus, professional pictures are always nice to have 🙂

My photog included threw them in for free as part of our wedding package. Wouldn’t have had them done otherwise!!

We also used them to have near the guest book.

Alot of people display them at the wedding as well. We’re not sending out save the dates but we’d never had any professional pics together and it also came free with our package so I guess it was just for fun!

They are just nice pics of the two of you that you can use for stuff (wedding or non-wedding related). We used one of our epics as an Xmas card, my Darling Husband blew one up for our home and we also used one in our wedding video.
ETA oh yeah we used one to display at the wedding too. We only had four epics, so I guess we used them all! 🙂

Honestly the best thing about our e-pics was that we got familiar with how to work with our wedding photographer. We were super awkward for like 20 minutes at first, but then we really understood how to work with her. I would have hated to be that awkward with her at the wedding, when we only had 45 minutes for pictures anyway!
Plus it was just nice to have some professional pictures of us looking like us, not shoving our wedding in people’s faces. And of course we used them on our save the dates.
