Ok, honeyoats22‘s post on her “unromantic proposal” actually sounded very romantic to me 😛 But I guess that’s the kind of romance I like, haha unromantic romance? It made me start thinking about the sweetest things Fiance has said to me. I think the things I find so sweet probably don’t sound as sweet to everyone else, but I know he’s genuine about what he says.
Like one day we were talking about eternity, like heaven and hell. I told him I was terrified of death because there were so many other things I wanted to do first. He said “Ya know, I’m pretty happy with my life. If I died today, the only thing I would regret is that I never had the chance to make you my wife.” This was a couple months before we got engaged. I still think about that statement whenever I start getting stressed with the wedding planning (or anything really).
The other one I think of was when we realized how close we were to each other since we were kids even though we didn’t meet until a couple years ago. (ie I used to live across the street from his elementary school. I was homeschooled and would sit on the sidewalk and watch the kids in his class play) He looked at me and made the most bizarre statement. He said “If I woke up tomorrow and I was 11 years old, the first thing I would do is ride my bike to your house.” “I would be there” I said. He said “I know, and I would tell you ‘you don’t know me, but I’m going to marry you someday'” I told him “that’s fine, but I would have told you ‘sorry, I’m going to marry Wade'” Haha, maybe not so sweet to anyone else but it makes me feel all fluttery inside.
I was wondering what things your SO has said that just make your heart melt.

One of the more recent things he’s said he didn’t really say to me. He said it to our cat LOL – yes we talk to our cat like she’s human. He was in the bathroom shaving with the door cracked, kitty was in there watching. I overheard him say to her, “Mom left her toothbrush on the side of the sink again, just asking for you to knock it over into the toilet. We better move it since we like her. She’s too pretty have to buy another new toothbrush” <heart~melted>

@swanks4tw: It’s not really what he says to me, but what he says about me when talking to other people. He always says I am his best friend. To me, that’s the sweetest thing to hear … and the sweetest honor, too!

These are so sweet!
I guess mine is similar to Stellar Magnitude‘s; it’s not something he’s said to me directly. He was deployed with the Navy last year, and while his team was overseas, another member met a girl he fell head over heels for. That girl came to SD when the guys were scheduled to get home, and I picked her up and we hung out for the day before they got in.
We were talking about the guys and her experiences with them at the base overseas, and she mentioned that she hoped that her boyfriend talks about her like my Fiance talked about me. She told me how he goes on and on about how wonderful I am, and she thought it was the most romantic thing. I don’t think she knows that I remember that, but it was so touching.

As some of you might remember, I dropped my e-ring in a lake 3 weeks ago. After he calmed down Mr. Ko said something to me that I will never forget…
“That’s not our love at the bottom of the lake, that’s just a ring. Everything we need is still right here…”

Okay My Fiance is in Afghanistan and I recently told him how I love waking up to emails from him. So about two weeks after I told him this, I wake up and check my phone and it says that he commented on my FB wall (Not out of the ordinary) and this was his message:(Btw he always makes up random nicknames for me because they make me laugh)
I LOVE YOU my sweet mexi treat… my honey bunches of oats… my spicy salsa… mi bebi… but most importantly wife to be.
He’s such a goof, I love it! 😀 *sigh*

Love this post 🙂
So my fiance and I are pretty silly and one thing we always say to each other is “I like you”. Well one day my friend asked why we say “I like you” and not “I love you” to each other. It got me thinking, so I asked him about it later and he said: “I tell you I love you because I’m commited to you. I tell you I like you because I want to be.”
He’s my favorite. 🙂

He’s said a lot of romantic things. He’s said a lot of tear-jerking things. But I think that one of the simplest, sweetest things he ever said to me was as we were driving home after a late spring outdoor wedding. He said, “I know you probably don’t want to hear this, but… I was looking at your legs during the ceremony. You are just the prettiest shade of white.” And you know, he was right. I wasn’t stoked about how pale my legs had become during the winter, but what he said was so admiring of me and so from his heart. I just loved it.

When Fiance and I first met I came to his house one night and we were just kissing and staring at each other and he said, “I could just lay here forever like this.” It completely melted my heart because my Fiance isn’t really the type to say sweet things like that.

When I first starting dating my fiance over 5 years ago we were iming (so outdated now, lol!) and I was complaining about being pale and he said to me “I think you are beautiful the way you are, like a porcelin doll, my porcelin doll” he will still call me his porcelin doll every once in a while and I find it so sweet.

One day we were laying in bed reading, and out of nowhere he says “I can hardly wait for us to have a family. It’s going to be so cute with our kids running around. You’re going to be such a great mom.” He’s not a sentimental guy very often, so it was really sweet.
Last week (probably a little TMI) but AF was a few days late and we thought maybe there was something cookin’ in the oven (wink wink) but we both doubted it. In any case, one night we were watching TV and Darling Husband leans over, lifts up my shirt and starts talking into my belly button in a funny voice saying “Hellllloooooo baby!!!! Heeelllloooooo!!!!” It was just the cutest thing on earth even though we both knew deep down there wasn’t a baby in there. Now he just refers to it as my “baby house” which is so cute.
I also love it when he says I’m “his person”, he said it in his vows. We were watching an episode of Friends when that came up (remember? They were in the hospital and I think Rachel listed Monica as her emergency contact) and he didn’t get it. For the longest time he insisted he didn’t have “a person” but when he finally said I was “his person” I knew he was in it for the long haul 😉 I like being his #1!
