We recently bought a house together, the closing date is in a couple of months. He sold his townhouse and the closing date was two weeks ago, so he moved in with me in my tiny little condo where we are going to live until we move into the house after the wedding. It was difficult saying goodbuy to his house because it was his home for 4 years and it was the place where he said he loved me first and proposed to me, so lots of good memories were associated with that place.

After he moved in to my place, two days later he had to go back to his old home for one last time and after he came back I asked him if it was sad going to his home one last time and he said no, because “home is now where you are”… it was so sweet 🙂

Mine is not very good with words, usually it’s his actions that I find so cute… but once we were at the beach just playing in the ocean and being silly and I kinda jumped on him and hugged him and he got all serious and hugged me really tight and said “I could never lose you, God I love you so much…” I think I found it sweet because I could tell he really really meant it.

I love this thread! The cat toothbrush discussion is too cute.

@Just_Squeeze: Yes, its crazy to think about that. Just last night, hubs and I were talking about how tiny little differences in the way things could have happened would have changed our entire lives.

It is more about the things he does.

we have a cat who we treat as our child, he goes along with my madness about our furry child. He (we ) also talk to our cat as he is human, and sometimes he answers in a childs voice back…

he fact that is he is standing by my side in this difficult time (i have a serious chonic illness, which requires tube feeding etc) He just does not care about pushing a wheel chair and he alwys tries to make laugh when i am in pain

That he is my best friend, and we can talk about everything.

This is either right before we got engaged- or shortly after… we were talking about organ donation and I asked him if he’d give me his kidney if I needed it.  His response:  he got kind of teary and said “I’d give you my heart, if you needed it”.

A couple years ago I had to have my gallbladder out and I went by his place the night before to hang out for a bit (before we were living together, obviously). I was a bit nervous and said as much to him as I was procrastinating going home and packing my bag for the hospital. He just held me and said “You can have some of my strength.”

I still melt just thinking about it 🙂

@hellomrsko: Yeah I remember and I swooned on my end. Perfection!

My Fiance and I are not mushy, and while we always tell each other that we love each other, and he says I’m gorgeous/I say he is handsome we don’t get too romantic.

The other day while I was making dinner he said in a sweet voice to one of our pups but obviously to me “where would we be without mommy. Lost is where. Daddy’s life was better the minute she came into his life.”

So much love.

He’s said a couple of things although one not directly to me… First I was having a horrible day with multiple things going wrong and a song came on the radio talking about the girl in the song being beautiful and SO said “Hey listen, to this song, they are singing about you.”

Second thing was not said directly to me, but apparently the first time SO realized he had feelings for me we were out on a tubing/canoing trip (I was not aware at this point).  Anyway when that time came around again this year, he told his roommates “Maybe you’ll find your true love on this trip too.”

Heart melts! He’s a pretty sweet romantic.

The first time our parents met eachother, we went on a fishing trip. Each set of parents brought their boat, and we spent the day on the lake and Fiance and I would periodically trade boats to spend time with eachother’s family. When I was switching over to my parent’s boat, he set me up with a bunch of gear and I told him not to worry as my dad already had everything in his boat. Fiance said, “I know. I need to prove to your dad that I can provide for his daughter.”

The fact that it was important for him to impress my dad just made my heart melt. I will never forget that moment.

My husband is very romantic and sentimental.  No one who knows him would ever guess, but he is…and I love it.

Just yesterday, I bought him some new sunglasses.  He had a favorite pair of sunglasses that he loved, but he hadn’t been able to find them in nearly two weeks.  So I went shopping to surprise him with a new pair.  I couldn’t find the exact ones he had, but bought ones that were the closest I could find. He’s pretty picky about his sunglasses, so I was hoping he’d be ok with the ones I found.  I kept the receipt just in case.

So I surprised him with them and he was thrilled.  He said how happy he was that he now has a wife who takes care of him.  But the sweet part came later last night, when I found his old sunglasses (figures).  I was kind of annoyed that I had found them AFTER I bought a new pair, but I was glad that he would have his favorite glasses back, figuring I could return the other pair.  But he said, “Oh, those can just be spares now.”  At first, I thought he was referring to the new pair I’d just bought, but he added, “I want to wear the pair my wife picked out for me.”  Even though I’m used to him being sentimental, I melted.
