My Fiance loves wearing his shirts from middle school that still fit him. You know, with the silly logos and stuff. Sigh. lol

My Fiance wears those dress shoes and the A&F shirts! Funny! I don’t mind the shoes, but can’t stand the shirts! I’ve been buying him new ones and phasing those out. He doesn’t like them, just wears them because he has them.

@bretonvirgniia:  Seriously! It’s because he used to think he was a cool kid in baggy clothes. So he bought all XL stuff back then, which now fits his M body hahahaha

For some reason your thread was listed as having “-1” replies on the board list… ???

I vetoed my FI’s “worst offenders” (he vetoed mine, too).

Fiance no longer owns the following items:

    – Beige PVC bellbottom pants with frankenstein stitching over faux-“tears” (oh my mother…)

    – A cartman t-shirt that said something like “bitch, get in the kitchen and make me some pie” (Ugh… my Fiance is nothing like that shirt makes him sound)

    – A blue bubble/puffer jacket that was very “Dumb and dumber”, and another white one just like it. I think the white one might’ve come with white snowpants too (because white is perfect for skiing…. sigh).

    – A fake, plastic, LV belt (the guy has tons of real brand name stuff, including LV. WTF with this fake, garish, plastic belt?!)

…from this list, you would not expect my Fiance to be very stylish, but I swear he is! These were just major blunders.

Oh, jeez. I don’t even know where to start. He wears long-sleeved button-ups that are too big, with the logo of a company he no longer works for embroidered on the front, tucked in. He wears black, non-skinny jeans with this, with his keys attached to a carabiner around his belt-loop. With this, he wears black, steel-toed work boots. And a fedora (which would be fine with a different outfit….but with this, not so much.)

When I am LUCKY, he wears dark-wash jeans and teeshirts with geeky pictures and sayings (think threadless).

Of course, my love for him completely transcends his dressing like this, but I think if there was one thing I could change about him, it would be this. However, I know it’s a part of who he is, so I don’t ever mention it, ever. I just keep buying him geeky teeshirts, because I know he will like them, and encourage him to get rid of things that are worn out, ill-fittting, or at least ten years old.

Ew, those AF shirts are awful!

mine wears CROCS!!! Agh!  He loves to be barefoot and says they’re the closest thing.

besides that, he basically wears whatever I buy him, thank God! So nice tees, pearl-snap button-ups, and Carhartts/jeans.

ETA: I love the common thread of these guys wearing their awful stuff cause they’re too lazy or just don’t care enough to buy new stuff. Men, such funny creatures!

Hmmm…I actually don’t think he wears anything I could consider ugly.  I actually picked out a lot of his dress shirts so…we both like them.  I also buy him ties!  He HATES HATES HATES to shop.  He has a lot of other casual shirts and I can’t think of any that are ugly.

He does have some ugly/old/costume things I think we’ll get rid of soon, but I’ve never seen him actually wear these things.  I think they’re just clothes that need to be given to goodwill or something.

He wears his vans/ converse forever. They will be stinky and stained and have holes and he refuses to throw them out. I try to replace them and he accepts the news ones, but won’t get rid of the old ones. Not too bad compared to some guys I guess.
