I didn’t read the entire thread, but I have to imagine that someone mentioned the camouflage wedding gowns?  Nothing says “I’m getting married” like hunting clothing.

@Jeannine @ Small Chic:I actually have a friend whose dress had camoflauge all on it. I even grabbed her by the shoulders when I went to see it for the first fitting & said, “Krystal. WHY?! What were you thinking?!” And her response was, “Well…David likes hunting…”

*fail*

It was a decent wedding, but very NASCAR redneck-esque. Works for them, I guess. Just not me.

We should rename it “When Fashions designers have no sense of fashion” or “Runway or Run-a-way” or “How did you make it past Project Runway” or “I was blinded by the Svarski” or “Inspired by Toilet Paper” or “Wedding trends in a blender”.  I think I could go all day with this.

@EvaBostonTerrier:

I’ve seen this done with the Duggars too! … It saddens me finding all these terrible posts.

I thought women were supposed to SUPPORT eachother. Not tear them down for their less expensive this/or more expenisve that or their choice in stones or their RELIGIOUS beliefs no less.

Coming here for answers and relaxing …only to find cattiness and such. Sad.

@Mrs.Macaron: I agree with you completely.

My friend saw her wedding dress on this post, and seriously wanted to burn all of her wedding photos because of the comments some bees made. Keep in mind, some people don’t have the confidence to forget about what other people say, and it does affect them.

She said to me, “I used to look at my dress with happy memories of how much I loved my dress and how different it was and the courage it took for me to wear it, that i normally don’t have. I was so proud of myself, and now I just think I look ridiculous and UGLY, i can’t believe this. I’m horrified to share my wedding photos now, I don’t know what to do”

Just because you think something is harmless and you wouldn’t care if someone made fun of your dress doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt someone else.

@SandAndSea:

That’s soooo sad!!! Your friend needs to remember for all the negative comments etc (from strangers)

SHE felt wonderful and beautiful, no one can take that away. Many women scoff at the fact that women used to corset their bodies enough to where it “distorted” their image and now there are women trying to get that very look! Skinny is in when some decades ago it was frowned and laughed at! Tell her to keep heart. Eye of the beholder. She was gorgeous for her day..

When I saw this post I knew it was going to become like this. It’s almost every other post in each forum subgroup.

this is so bad.  there was one dress on page 2 or 3 i think,  a one strap dress……fit and flare.  i dont have this dress but i have seen others on here that do,  and its a lovely dress.

whats that sentance above where we post in the comment box….?

”Please avoid personal attacks and snarkiness’

what about good old plain nastiness and bitchyness?

this thread should be removed. it isnt even that funny anyway. this forum is meant to be for fun and help and advice.    this is just plain poking fun at other peoples dresses. there are plenty of other places that that could be done…..so why dont you go there and ruin someone elses day?

this is my first and my last post in this thread……Dont feed the trolls!

@Mrs.Macaron: I completely agree with you. i just had her read your comment and she started crying and put her book of wedding pictures back out on her coffee table. Thank you so much.

She laughingly told me she’s not going to let me pick out an ugly dress for my wedding, haha.
