I wonder how someone would feel if I found a photo of them (by googling their weddingbee name) in their wedding dress and posted it on this thread saying that their dress, imo, was ugly?  After all, your photos are now “public domain” and could be googled.

Adding that if the dress comes from a designer’s website or runway show and it’s on a model, I don’t see anything wrong w/posting it.  If it’s on a mannequin, that’s cool, too.  But on a real person, not so nice.

@BanditGirl: We are typing UGLY wedding dresses in the search. Someone else would have had to post it as an ugly wedding dress before hand for us to find a dress someone on here has worn.

Alright…I think it’s time to post this picture yet again.

This thread has been changed from a little harmless fun to DRAMA. Why does that always happen?

@bride21: you are proving mighty’s point. You are using the “if everyone jumped off the bridge I would do it too” mentality. Just because someone else on the interwebs found it ugly doesn’t make it okay for you to do so, you know?

@nut9108: There were quite a few I found on there that I didn’t post because they weren’t that bad but every single dress on here, except lisa’s, is really out there. I’m not proving her point at all. She is saying it is mean to post them because they have real people in it. Since these dresses have been on numerous sites they are already out there and some of these I think might be jokes…though some are definitally real. And Bandit girl said what if she posted dresses of girl on here and called them ugly…we are searching UGLY wedding dresses, not searching their names to find their dresses just to call them ugly. We were having innocent fun and they turned it into drama. I have commented on many posts saying that I thought they were wrong in saying something but it is because these people are actually reading them and their feelings are getting hurt. These pictures are all over the internet under UGLY WEDDING DRESSES. I’m sure if they were going to get their feelings hurt they wouldn’t be everywhere for people to find.

I’m just going out there and saying: the dress Lisa posted was an inspiration for on the Bees on here. That was completely insensitive of her, considering I’ve seen that dress quite a few times, and the final product. The final product looked almost exactly the same and it was very well done. You may want to check before you post so you don’t offend anyone! FYI

@MightySapphire: I agree. It seems like several bees are offended because someone posted a dress that they like (personally, I didn’t like the dress lisa105 shared either, but everyone has their own opinion). However, at least it wasn’t on an actual person. What if one of the real people that others posted as ugly got on this site and saw what everyone said? Sharing an opinion about a dress and making fun of people are totally different things.

Man alive…what is happening to weddingbee??  Everyone is so sensitive!  This post is pure fun, and anyone that is taking it out of context is simply seeking out drama!  I say keep them coming ladies, this is fun!  I truly feel like the bees on here mean well and are just having some laughs.  Take a chill-pill!

@Kitty Kat: I AGREE! The Drama Lama in some of these mods needs to take a giant chill pill. This thread is (was) hilarious and fun, and completely innocent. The “intervention” was not fair, and inconsistent. For example, this post was left alone, but what if one of the weddings snarked on in this post happened to be a Bee’s wedding (or found online by a Bee’s relative/friend)? IMO, this post was a lot more mean-spirited than this fun dress post.

@MsGolightly: can I just say that I am borderline obsessed with traveller weddings? they’re insane! I spent a solid 3 hours procrastinating by looking at pictures of their over the top dresses and watching the documentary. They live in trailers but can spend $30,000 on a wedding dress. amazing. It’s truly its own culture.

I was enjoying this thread…then people decided to get on their soap boxes and starting “teaching” us all about what is right and wrong. If you dont like it, by all means, dont participate. No one is saying bad things about the people, just their attire. People can call my dress ugly, and it wont bother me because to each their own….everyone is entitled to an opinion. If you are so truely offended by a strangers opinion, then God help you. There is no reason someone shouldn’t be able to express their opinion about SOME FABRIC!!  Seriously. Way to ruin a lighthearted, intended to be fun post.

@soontobekatieb: Exactly! It was a really fun post until a mod got all over-sensitive for no good reason. We’re all big girls here; it truly is just fabric! Hopefully we can keep it going with some more fun dresses…I think the cake dress is my favorite so far, haha! You’d get to eat your way out of it at the end of the night…
