First time poster here so please bear with me throughtout my ramblings!
I am just beginning my hunt for a caterer for our wedding next summer and I can’t for the life of me figure out what the serving style I want is called ! Basically what I am looking for is where the guests are seated at their tables with their empty place settings in front of them and then the servers come around with a large platter in hand and serve each person directly. I have attended two weddings that have been served like this and in my mind it seems like the best of both worlds. You get the flexibilty to turn away the foods you don’t want, similar to a buffet, without the lineup while still lending the air of formality that you get from a plated meal without compromising quanity for presentation.
Reeeealllly hoping someone hear can tell me what it’s called when a dinner is served this way!!
