Looks like either aquamarine or green amethyst. Both are super pretty 🙂

@MrsWBS:  actually, depending on how much these rings are, I’d say they were Paraiba Tourmaline 🙂

I too think it is Aquamarine (which is in the Beryl family)

Wikipedia – Aquamarine = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquamarine_(gemstone)

There is no true Green Amethyst… just regular (purple) Amethyst which has been heat treated “artificially” so that it changes colour.  If it is green, then it is commonly known as Prasiolite (which is in the Quartz family)

Hope this helps,

PS… I agree pretty coloured stone… lol, need to get me one of those !!

Definitely not aquamarine unless it’s just the photo. I have an aquamarine “promise” ring, and it shows only shades of blue, no green.

I agree with the PP though. 🙂

Either way, it’s so beautiful!

I think you might have more than one kind of stone there.  Many aquas are heat treated to deepen the blue color, I think some of these are just untreated.  Some I think are green amethyst.

They could be a tourmaline or even an apatite also topaz .So many gemstones come in such range or colors and it depends if there treated or not .. Aquamarine when it was first discovered way back when was more “teal” but now it’s all so pale and more sky blue .. But that’s my favortie color stone to … I want a paraiba tourmaline SOOO bad but there crazy $$$$$$$ …

i would have guessed a parabia tourmaline but the clarity of it makes me lean towards anaquamarine
