Our venue costs $3,000 for the reception, and $1,000 each for ceremony and rehearsal. (However, we were able to get a 50% discount so thankfully it’s only costing us $2,500 for all of that). It includes set up of all decor, chairs for ceremony, table and chairs for dinner, cocktail hour and reception, linens, and coordinators who help things run smoothly.

$0 as long as we met our minimum spend of $25,000 (food and alcohol before taxes and gratuities). If we didn’t, we paid the difference to $25,000 but we definitely did.

Our venue was Toronto, Canada.

Venue will $250 than $14/per person for alcohol. (We’re having 50 ppl so less than a thousand) all together.

We get the venue and their large kitchen for the full day and help with the set up and break down. Tables, chairs, and TVs

We have to bring in everything else.

We’re on Long Island, NY

Venue in Asheville, NC was $800 and included space, tables, chairs, linens, time to set up the night before, a dance floor, and speakers I plugged my computer into. Then we spent about $7k on food and alcohol on top of that. It was in a hotel ballroom.

Sorry to post again, got some pictures!

Venue holds 300. Kitchen is in a separate room and the bar is behind the photographer. It’s your basic hall.

  • Wedding: September 2020 - Summer Camp!

Venue is a summer camp in southern NJ. It’s 1k for the rental, which includes the the benches, dining hall with industrial kitchen, bathrooms, etc. Then it’s $15 pp for whoever stays the day, $22 overnight, $40 the whole weekend. BYO, and we need to decorate. We’re inviting 100, but expecting 50-75 because it’s out of state for mostly everyone (our families live 5 or 6 hours away from each other, so we did it between where it’s close-ish to where we’re currently living).

As long as we got we had or paid for the minimum of 50 people then the venue was free as it was an all inclusive for the reception but our ceremony space cost us $200 to reserve our space in a private park that allowed alcohol and included parking.

thetulle :  venue was 2500 plus a 500 venue monitor fee. It is a historic house and so there needed to be a monitor at all times making sure we weren’t trashing the garden.

It included tables and chairs for all the guests. Located in the central coast of California. All proceeds went to the California state park which made me feel great!

We’re in Vancouver, BC. Our venue was $2,200 to rent the entire downstairs of a restaurant, plus a giant lawn overlooking the ocean and mountains. There’s an outdoor tented area that seats up to 200 people I believe, and there’s a tent fee of $600, plus a ceremony fee of $500. All of this is on top of a $13,000 food and beverage minimum spend (for the month of May, our friend got married at the same venue a few years ago in July and their min spend was $22,000).

The $500 ceremony fee includes all outdoor chair rentals, set-up and take down, as well as the registry signing table.

The $600 tent fee includes ceiling drapery, fairy lights, and chandeliers. Essentially the tent is already decorated so you don’t to decorate it yourself.

The $2,200 rental fee includes all tables, chiavari dining chairs, white linens, white napkins, cutlery, dishware as well as all servers and bartenders (service fee extra).

No venue fee, we booked the private function space in a restaurant. $120 pp for three courses, canapés and alcohol.

teacher-bee-in-the-sea :  Super similar venue situation for me!

Ours cost about $2000, and all it includes is the use of the property for the wedding, and a day-of person on site. Not even tables and chairs! But our venue is also a historical property, with the fees we pay supporting the historical society that manages the property (as well as others like it in our strate and several surrounding ones).

We fell head-over-heels for our beautiful garden venue, so to us it was worth it! Here are some pics… wedding isn’t until June and right now about the only thing that could ruin things for me would be if it rained! 😂
