Mine did! When I pulled out the tree skirt this year it was covered in kitty fur. She passed away this past spring, I do miss her!

No ornaments or lights, but the kitty is present!

She looks a bit evil in this one, but it was too cute to not take a picture. One thing I liked about a fake tree was that I could fold over the ends of the branches to secure ornaments that I really didn’t want knocked down.

My cats haven’t really noticed our Christmas tree, maybe because it’s really small and fake?

My puppy on the other hand, loves it. He sleeps behind it daily. DH and I still haven’t taken it down because the pup likes it so much.

My cats believe that a christmas tree is a giant cat toy, covered with lots of dangling little cat toys. There is no changing their minds on that. I just put the breakable ornaments close to the top and weigh the base down good to keep them from knocking it over.

Miss Apricot:  My little kitten does the same thing! she pulled off 10 of our ornaments and climbs in the tree and knocks down more. She loves to eat and play with the tree. I found her as a 3.5 months living under a shed. I kinda assume it is because she most likely slept and hunted in tree’s to find food. I never stay mad at her… She just got spayed. She is the cutest kitten I have ever seen.

Our cat does it too! He likes to climb up into the tree and knock all the bulbs down and then bat them all over the house. It gets really frustrating, but he’s also just so darn cute.

o0olibelulao0o:  My cat loses his mind around christmas trees. He loves them.

By The Way, those are such cute pictures of your kitties. That second photo is hilarious, our cat sleeps like that too and we call it “dead cat”. Haha. Is one of your guys a maine coon? I had one years ago 🙂

I may have bought the cats their own tree.

My tree is a white pine.  It’s pokey and dumps cats off.  I don’t love it, but oh well. They have a blue spruce which is soft and sturdy and they can play in it all day long.

Yes, that seems perfectly logic to me.

This isn’t the best pic, but my cat has seriously burrowed a cave into my (fake) tree. it’s right on level with the side table and she just walks right in like it’s a garage or something. She faces the center (“trunk”) of the tree and bats at ornaments. If she can knock one off, she hops down and knocks it around til it goes under the couch or fridge, then goes back to her cave.

I’m slightly afraid she’s going to hang herself on the garland, otherwise its hilarious.

But the tree has sparkles, strings, dangly things… how could I expect her to resist?

We just got our tree and the kitten immediately went after the tree. I will have to come back to take pictures.
