Hm well we consider zombie movies as their own genre.

    Anyway yeah,

He likes scifi and action. I don’t.

I like romance and horror. He doesn’t, at all.

We pretty much only agree on Comedy and Zombie.

@Jacqui90 & @Miss Circe:LOVE Con Air!!!! I don’t tend to watch a movie over & over once I’ve seen it, but that is one of the few I will watch again & again.

I voted the last option. We both love films like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Terminator, Alien, any good western flick, etc. We’re all about Sci Fi, action flicks, and historical dramas.

If I’m stressed, I usually end up wanting a romantic comedy, which he is not usually in the mood for, so then he tries to compromise with indie comedies, because I don’t really like mainstream comedies (except for romantic comedies). Lol. Other than that, I like really hard-hitting emotional movies and foreign dramas. BF likes action movies and not so hard-hitting movies.

The last movie we watched was Super 8. I went into that not knowing what it was about and expecting a horrible alien film, but actually enjoyed it very much.

@Jacqui90:  Me too! Especially when he gives her the bunny. And it is a beautiful song Smile Lol Steve Buscemi and John Malkovich were awesome in that movie.

Anyway, back to the thread topic so as not to threadjack, the movies that the SO and I have enjoyed lately are Prometheus, Expendables 2 and The Avengers. I really want to see The Grey, Taken 2 and The Awakening though.

Comedies, especially 80s ones. We compromise on 80s everything, because it’s the one thing we both agree on for movies/music. (Very different taste in music).

Funny thing is he says he hates “romances” but many of his favorite 80s movies are listed as that – oops!

We both like historical movies or based on a true story movies.

He also likes actions/thrillers but it really pains me to watch things being blown up for 2hours with a weak storyline.
