Ohh, good thread!

We’re big on trying to get some outdoor activities going.  Like, hiking and kayaking are 2 of our faves.  We also like to plan trips to the beach – we really just enjoy walking along the shore for hours and talking and then grabbing some seafood (I love me some seafood!).

Some nights, we just want to sit on the couch and have a rented movie marathon.  We’re not huge on movie theatres, for some reason.

And ever since we got a puppy, our lives and dates revolve around where we can take her and she’ll have a blast.  πŸ™‚

I’d love some more date ideas, though!

We love going to the mall. We’ll try differant foods at many of the eateries, buy some of the clothing we’ve been eyeballing, and just make a fun day out of it.

We really like going to the pet store!

We love to go out to dinner at our favorite restaurants! We also love to go to baseball games (huge White Sox fans!) or other sporting events. Sports for him, and social (and a little sports) for me:)

SO and I love camping.  We also go to baseball games.  Both local AA games and we go to a couple Nationals games every summer. Also I love country music and we go to most country music concerts that come close to us.  We are seeing Kenny Chesney the Saturday memorial weekend and then a Nationals game that Sunday.  I’m so excited.

We also like to have play dates at home, which we do often.  Nights of a good dinner, playing the Kinect, and just enjoying each others company. These are my favorite for some reason.  **TMI**. When we do this we usually have hours of four play and sex that evening.  Like off and on the whole evening and night.

We love trying out non-chain restaurants, or watching movies.

Dates are a luxury for us and we go maybe twice a month, kid-free. We usually go to the casino, a local bar to play pool and drink a little, try a new restaurant or our fave which is stay home and make it a spa night. We go all out putting rose petals and candles out, wine, buy massage oils to give each other full body massages, have the slow songs playing, phones off and end it with a bath/shower together and you know what else πŸ˜‰ beats any spa i have been too and its our FAVE

We love to get dressed up, go into the city, and have cocktails and dinner at a great place. That doesn’t happen too often though since it’s pretty expensive. We often just do date night at home with wine and video games. And when the wearher is decent we love a picnic on the beach.

Actually our first date was dinner at a really fancy place, and our second date was sandwiches and beer on the dock at sunset. That still sums up the range of our relationship.

Oh where do I begin? Haha.

Fiance and I are love beer, and being stationed in the CO area, we like to go to our favorite breweries, or go try new ones. We always try to keep our “dates” sponanteous, so I’ll list some of the things we’ve done:

Ice Skating(FI was a semi pro hockey player, but had to quit before he went pro because his doc told him he’d end up with brain damage if he got too many more concussions).

Golfing- this has been a special bonding thing for us, because I’d never golfed before, so he taught me how.

Laser tag/go cart racing- we’re both super competitive, so these types of activites are always fun for us

I guess this list could go on and on. One good suggestion I have is to check your local groupon or living social deals, and find a cool new restaurant or activity to go do. We once found one for indoor sky diving and it was a blast. There was also once one of those mystery dinner show things where the crowd was involved in solving the mystery. Kind of like “Clue” but real life. You can find all kinds of cool things to do through those deal sites. I find trying new things keeps things fresh, instead of going to the same ol restaurant and going to the movies everytime.

Good luck finding something to do!

We bowl. Sometimes we even make it a family thing, and bring along Dirty Delete and his parents (not technically a ‘date’, but we’re big on family, too). Sometimes we mini-put… not so much movies, anymore. Another thing we love doing is house hunting ‘drive-bys’, lol. We purchased our home in July ’11, but it was a forclosure, and STILL needs a bunch of renovations. We love driving around neighbouroods and checking out the landscaping, and exteriors. πŸ˜›

Usually our ‘dates’ are lunch-time outings, so we go for wings (ooh-la-la!). We sometimes hit-up Lowes or Home Depot to look for renovation stuff, too. God, we sound old!

We are pretty active so if it is warm we love to play Putt Putt Golf, it brings out the kids in us πŸ™‚ We also enjoy taking nature walk/hikes.  We like to go to movies a lot but we always do dinner after so we can talk about it and hang out.
