mbentley93:  i was on the pill, but we do plan to start TTC soon. I stopped taking the pill in March to regulate my body, so currently we are using the “pull out method”

Newly_MrsA:  i’m also on LoLoestrin Fe and love it! i love not having a period!!

we do also use a condom because we would not want a baby right now if there was an accident, but it’s just for peace of mind lol.

Laurenplusalex:  Omg sooo true. We live with my in-laws, and while I want sex often, Darling Husband often doesn’t want to because he feels awkward with his parents in the next room. And the walls are paper thin! *sigh

We use condoms. Don’t like hormonal BC (formed ovarian cysts, gave me vaginal dryness, plus I don’t like the artificial hormones). I’m too scared to do copper IUD, and too lazy/paranoid to chart. I do miss the skin-to-skin contact though, and Darling Husband says it doesn’t feel as good as without the condom, but it’s still good 🙂

Condoms only. It used to be condoms and the pill combined but due to medical issues I can never take hormonal BC again. I want to look into getting a Paraguard. I’m fed up with having to stick with condoms even after getting married!

I was on nuvaring for 6 years and the pill 3 years before but started to experience some side effects. I’ve recetly gone off hormonal contraceptives and feel way better. So condoms it is..

I take Seasonique and it’s awseome because I only get my period 4 times a year and it is VERY short and light. We also use a condom most times because we have absolutely no plans to have kids for atleast 5 years.

We used to use a combination of the pill and condoms, however my SO has had difficulty keeping it up with the condom, which totally negates its purpose in the first place. I’m on Tri-Cyclen Lo with no problems thus far.

My husband had a vasectomy because we are childfree and I can’t be on any hormonal birth control. I am so grateful that he did this.

I love it because I don’t have to take hormones that give me liver tumors. We don’t want to use condoms and I am too prone to infections for IUDs….not to mention TERRIFIED of having one inserted.

I use the pill and the pull-out method. However, I originally went on the pill 6.5 years ago because my periods would be awful… but I feel like my PMS has been terrible every other month, and my cramping has gotten much worse, as well. It would be nice to switch to something less hormonal.  I would consider coming off the pill altogether, but I’m about 3 years out from being ready to have a baby.

mbentley93:  I use the “My Days” app on my iPhone and track my periods and then avoid sex or use condoms during my “yellow” ovulation days. Otherwise we don’t use birth control pills or condoms. It’s worked for about 8 months. 🙂

I used BCP forever, and I loved it.  I had really light, short periods.  I would like an IUD (non-hormonal) but I had incredibly heavy periods before BCP so I am really hesitant to try the copper IUD because it can make your period heavier.

I am not on anything currently but will probably go back to BCP.  I don’t have my period back (breastfeeding) so I just have Darling Husband pull out (sex does not happen that often right now) but I will probably try out the mini pill if my period comes back.
