Even after reading the bee and realizing that many people are WAY more in to weddings than we are, I have trouble understanding where 20K could possibly be spent.

Wowwwww. I just dont have that kind of cash! We set a limit at $10,000, but its reaching more like $15,000. This is for almost 300 people. I am doing alot of DIY projects to say the least.

I don’t think it would be hard to spend 20K, in fact, I think with larger guest lists it would be hard to stay UNDER 20K, especially in a city!!

We also spent $20k on just food and booze for 145 people. And that was with the pff season 20% discount!

Our wedding is costing a total of about $6,000 including food for 100-130 people. We are having a cash bar, serving heavy appetizers, using minimal decorations due to beautiful venues. This is where the bulk of the money was spent
Ceremony venue- $1280
Food- $2000
Hair & Makeup for Bride and BMs- $350
DJ- $250
Photographer- $580

We started with a limit of 25k and its going to end up around 35k. 200 people. Food alone is 20. Fiance and I do not want alcohol, cash bar tops so that will cut some cost but that is not why we dont want it.

I’m wondering about the 40K and 50K Bees that responded to the poll. I realize that it’s possible, what I’m wondering is if those bees are paying for it themselves or if their families are paying.
In my wildest dreams would I have 50K of disposable cash! *jealous*
