@waitingwonderland:  I decided to go with traditional white cake because I wanted to make sure it was something that everyone would like. A lot of the custom options looked pretty good, but I worried that a lot of people may not like them.

I’m having white chocolate raspberry. It is the yummiest cake i have ever tried (had it at a bridal expo). I ordered then and there already knowing she is a fantastic decorator. It is going to go perfectly served with berry coulis and cream 🙂

We had a vanilla cake with white butterceam frosting, BUT we had had two different flavor fillings in the different tiers (one was hazlenut and one was raspberry).  Based on the cake we smushed in each others faces, and the rave reviews, it was delicious, but we didn’t get to really eat it 🙁

we are doing a dulce de leche, it’s french vanilla cake with a dulce de leche between layers. we are also doing a chocolate cake with some whipped filling. we decided to serve two smaller slices to each person (it’s our fifth course) and then we are also doing cupcake and champagne favors, still deciding on that flavor but I was thinking a white cake with a strawberry cream icing to compliment the champagne.

We have some layers with raspberry swirl bake with Bailey’s mousse filling, and other layers with marble cake with raspberry preserves and mousse filling. It was delicious!

Our actual cake is key lime with a citrus frosting. We’ll also have a sheet cake to be cut up and it’s half key lime and half banana chocolate chip. I’m not a cake lover but I loved the idea of key lime for our beachy wedding and my Fiance picked the banana which I thought was good too.
